A long-requested schedule update is finally coming to VCT EMEA for Stage 2 later in July. As part of the schedule expansion plans for Stage 2 later this year, VCT EMEA has announced the inclusion of weekend matches throughout Stage 2. According to the press release, this is part of their effort to better optimize fan experience in anticipation of the increased number of teams set to attend in Stage 2.

StarCraft II’s PTR patch 5.0.16 changes the economy, core Protoss mechanics, and several Zerg and Terran tools. Starting workers drop from 12 to 8, mineral and gas values are rebalanced, and Warpgate research moves to the Gateway while speeding up regular Gateway production. Zerg loses supply and creep speed but gains cheaper armor and stronger spellcasters, and Terran Ghosts become higher impact with improved control.
