Team Spirit and MOUZ To Clash Again In BLAST Open Porto 2026 Grand Final

The stage is set in Porto for a spectacular conclusion to BLAST Open Porto 2026. With a massive $1,100,000 prize pool on the line, Team Spirit and MOUZ will face each other in yet another grand finals; a rematch of the BLAST Bounty Season 2 finals.

Team Spirit enters the server boasting a staggering 10-match win streak, sweeping aside top-tier opponents in recent months. Meanwhile, MOUZ have a momentum of their own, riding a 4-match win streak into the final showdown.

Both finalists booked their tickets to Sunday’s grand stage with flawless performances in the semifinals. Team Spirit completely dismantled reigning Major champions Falcons in a clean 2-0 sweep. 

Not to be outdone, MOUZ delivered an equally stunning performance, shutting down a Team Vitality working with a stand-in in the form of jL, 2-0 on the other side of the bracket. 

By neutralizing two of the tournament's heaviest hitters, both rosters have made it clear that they are the two most deserving teams left in Porto.

Head-to-Head Comparison

While Team Spirit leads the overall head-to-head map history with 19 wins to MOUZ's 11, the rivalry has taken a turn in 2026.

Earlier in the year, Spirit held a firm grip on the matchup. They swept MOUZ 2-0 in three consecutive tournaments: IEM Kraków, IEM Rio, and PGL Astana.

However, MOUZ broke this dominance in their most recent encounter on August 2, 2026, during the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals. In that Bo5 series, MOUZ emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline. They secured Nuke, Mirage, and Dust2, with Spirit’s lone map victory coming on Ancient. 

Map Veto Outlook

With a Best-of-5 format, depth in the map pool will be the deciding factor. 

The opening bans are highly predictable. Team Spirit will almost certainly ban Inferno, a map they have avoided over the last three months. In response, MOUZ must use their sole ban on Anubis, where Spirit has 88% win rate and MOUZ has no recorded competitive playtime.

With the permabans out of the way, the picks will highlight tactical advantages. Spirit is expected to instantly lock in Ancient, leveraging their flawless 100% win rate (8-0) against MOUZ’s struggling 33% record on the map. MOUZ will likely counter-pick Nuke or Dust2, where they hold a superior 80% win rate and have previously proven they can crack Spirit's defensive setups.

This leaves Mirage and Cache as the crucial swing maps. While Spirit historically holds the edge on Mirage, MOUZ’s ability to survive Spirit's map picks and push the series deep into the map pool will ultimately decide who lifts the trophy in Porto.
