Brazilian CS2 squad Legacy delivered a dominant performance to claim the FISSURE Playground #3, sweeping G2 Esports in the grand finals on September 13, 2026.
Played as a best-of-5 series in China, Legacy controlled the matchup from start to finish, securing Ancient 13-9, Mirage 13-10, and closing out Dust II 13-4.
Bruno "latto" Rebelatto was named the MVP, recording a monstrous 69 kills throughout the series to seal the championship victory.
Legacy's Recent Winning Form
This triumph continues an impressive 2026 campaign for Legacy. Earlier in the year, the team lifted the trophy at the CS Asia Championships 2026 with a 3-1 victory over Falcons, alongside a trophy win at BetBoom RUSH B! Summit 2026: Part Three.
This is also the third trophy won by the team in a span of a year and their third trophy lift in a grand final held in China.
Legacy also earned a strong 3rd-place finish at the Esports World Cup 2026. The recent signing of AWPer Santino "try" Rigal has also further elevated the roster's firepower, culminating in their first trophy together in Suzhou.
G2's Grand Final Return After 370 Days
For G2 Esports, reaching the grand final marked a significant milestone despite the final defeat. This marked G2's first grand final appearance in 370 days, ending a title-stage drought that stretched back to their championship victory against Team Vitality at BLAST Open Fall 2025 on September 7, 2025.
Throughout 2026, G2 had struggled to reach deep tournament finals, recording 5th–8th place finishes at the Esports World Cup 2026, IEM Cologne Major 2026, and BLAST Open Fall 2026.
Although G2 displayed strong playoff form by defeating FURIA and BetBoom, Legacy proved insurmountable.

Legacy's commanding victory over G2 solidifies their momentum heading into their upcoming events. Both rosters will now refine their tactical approaches, as this high-stakes final sets an exciting stage for ESL Pro League Season 24 later in October.
