Less than two weeks after losing the MSI 2025 trophy to Gen.G, T1 claimed revenge over their rivals in style by putting an end to the team's undefeated streak. With the all-important win, T1 hold on to third place in the Legend Group of the LCK 2025 Season, where they will continue to fight for a ticket to defend their crown at Worlds 2025 in China.

T1 End Gen.G's Historic Run

Gen.G's run in 2025 was turning out to be one for the history books. Before their match against T1 in the LCK, the South Korean squad had amassed 27 consecutive match wins at the highest level, earning themselves two international trophies in the process (MSI and EWC).

During MSI, specifically, Gen.G took down T1 in dramatic 3-2 series not once, but twice. As the season progresses, however, T1 only grow stronger, and this time they said "enough."

Despite losing the first game of the series, T1 came back stronger, taking the next game to drive the series to a deciding Game 3. The team then showed up to the final game of the match ready to conquer their demons once and for all.

The reigning World Champs claimed Game 3 in just 27 minutes of play, putting on a dominant display to take the 2-1 victory and finally put an end to Gen.G's reign of terror in the LCK.

And the best part of it all? The squad was able to pull off the feat on home soil in front of thousands of fans at the T1 Home Ground, a part of the LCK's 2025 Roadshow. Surely, a day that attending fans won't forget for a very long time.
