League of Legends Patch 26.15 landed on July 29, 2026, kicking off Ranked Season 3 with a bang. The headline is undoubtedly the Bel'Veth rework, but the latest update also delivered a few much-needed changes to some overperforming picks.

With a fresh ranked slate and a shifting meta, here are the best champions to climb ranked in LoL Patch 26.15.

Best champions League of Legends Patch 26.15

Top Lane

Garen

Simple, effective, and extremely punishing to play against in Solo Queue, Garen is one of the most reliable Top Lane picks to open the new season with in Patch 26.15.

His passive regeneration allows for consistent trades and extended lane presence, while [Q] Decisive Strike and [E] Judgment provide both gap-closing and sustained damage for added pressure. His teamfighting contribution with [R] Demacian Justice is deceptively strong, especially when used to close out fights by targeting a fed enemy carry.

Teemo

Teemo is one of the most uniquely oppressive Top Lane picks in Patch 26.15. His blind through [Q] Blinding Dart hard-counters the auto-attack-heavy melee champions that dominate the top lane pool, while his [R] Noxious Trap mushrooms create an invisible minefield that makes traversing his side of the map a constant liability for the enemy team.

Sett

With superb laning dominance and the ability to completely flip the script in teamfights, Sett is a top-tier pick for climbing ranked in LoL Patch 26.15.

A well-timed [W] Haymaker will swing skirmishes decisively in his favor, absorbing punishment and dealing back surprising amounts of burst. Meanwhile, [R] The Show Stopper lets him reliably access the enemy backline and create chaos that most uncoordinated Solo Queue teams struggle to recover from.

Jungle

Shyvana

With a whopping 53.01% win rate, Shyvana is the standout Jungler for climbing ranked this patch. Her fast clear speeds and bruiser scaling allow her to develop into a durable frontline threat, and [R] Dragon's Descent remains one of the most disruptive engage tools in the Jungle pool. For players comfortable on her, she rewards investment handsomely.

Briar

Briar remains one of the best snowball Junglers in Patch 26.15. Her dueling power, built-in sustain, and ability to force skirmishes at a moment's notice make her especially effective in Solo Queue.

Her strong early game allows her to take over games and push leads for fast victories and LP.

Nocturne

Nocturne is the Jungler for players who want to take over Solo Queue through sheer pressure and terror. His [R] Paranoia is one of the most impactful ultimate abilities in the game, cutting off enemy vision across the map and enabling a dive straight into an enemy carry.

Nocturne excels at snowballing early leads into mid-game collapses, and the strength of his ultimate ensures he remains relevant even if he falls slightly behind.

Mid Lane

Veigar

Veigar is one of the best Mid Lane picks for climbing ranked in Patch 26.15. Patient farming and consistent stacking allow him to eventually one-shot key targets with [R] Primordial Burst, while his [E] Event Horizon remains one of the best space-making tools available to any mage.

Malzahar

Where Veigar wins with scaling, Malzahar wins with reliability. His wave control is second to none, his passive spell shield provides an additional layer of safety, and his point-and-click lockdown with [R] Nether Grasp makes him one of the most consistent teamfight contributors in the game.

In a meta that continues to reward safe, scalable picks, Malzahar continues to thrive.

Fizz

If Mid Lane assassins are more your cup of tea, Fizz is a top pick in Patch 26.15. His slippery mobility through [E] Playful/Trickster allows him to dodge crucial skill shots and escape unfavorable trades, while his burst combo with [R] Chum the Waters can delete priority targets before they have a chance to react. Fizz rewards good target selection with instant, game-changing takedowns.

Bottom Lane

Smolder

Smolder remains one of the most dependable ADCs for steady, methodical ranked climbing in Patch 26.15. His stacking mechanic rewards consistent farming and a patient playstyle that pays off enormously once he hits key breakpoints, and his safe damage output and long-range poke make him a reliable choice for players looking to gain LP without taking unnecessary risks.

Ziggs

Ziggs continues to be an excellent ADC pick in Patch 26.15 for players who prefer a poke-heavy, siege-oriented approach. His extreme range and persistent zone control through [E] Hexplosive Minefield make him nearly impossible to engage on in a standard lane, and his [R] Mega Inferno Bomb provides a global teamfight tool that can punish enemies from anywhere on the map.

Jinx

Jinx is the hyper-carry of choice for players who want to snowball bot lane leads into late-game dominance. Her reset mechanic rewards her for staying active in teamfights, and the longer games go, the more dangerous Jinx becomes.

Support

Taric

With a whopping 53.09% win rate, Taric is the standout Support pick for climbing ranked in LoL Patch 26.15 if you ever choose to queue with a friend. With enough coordination, Taric's [W] Bastion + [E] Dazzle combo can catch opponents off-guard for a quick pick. A well-timed [R] Cosmic Radiance, meanwhile, is always a game-changer.

Thresh

Thresh is one of the most versatile and impactful Supports in the game, equally capable of making aggressive plays and protecting his carry. Though finding the balance between the two may take a little practice, a player who has mastered Thresh can take over the game like few other Support picks in League of Legends.

Leona

Leona remains one of the most reliable engage Supports in the game in LoL Patch 26.15. Her ability to chain lockdown enemies with [E] Zenith Blade and [R] Solar Flare makes her one of the most consistent engage patterns in the Support pool, and her natural tankiness ensures she can absorb punishment and keep the pressure on through every phase of the game.

Whether you prefer frontline tanks, snowballing assassins, scaling hyper-carries, or high-damage playmakers, mastering these picks gives you a clear edge in Solo Queue and helps you climb the ranked ladder in the fresh new season more efficiently.
