The start of the LCS 2026 Summer Split is just days away, and the best team in the league will miss its best player to kick things off. LYON has announced that Kacper "Inspired" Słoma will not get to play with the rest of the team for the first "two or three weeks" of the Regular Season.

LYON Land in the LCS Without Their Star

According to the announcement, Inspired has a few things to take care of in Poland, which will prevent him from starting the 2026 LCS Summer Split along with the rest of the LYON squad. Though no specific reason was given, the Polish Jungler did state that he will provide "more details about it in the future," and that it is "nothing bad."

"I'm sure the guys will do well. I will make sure to help them as much as I can even though I will be online for a bit. And, yeah, keep cheering for them; I for sure will."

LYON took the League of Legends scene by storm at MSI 2026 after finishing in third place and standing just one game away from taking down the eventual champions. Now, it will be interesting to see how LYON perform in the LCS without such a key member of the roster.

Who Steps In?

For now, LYON is yet to officially announce Inspired's replacement during the weeks of action that he will. It is heavily speculated, though, that veteran North American Jungler Jonathan "Armao" Armao will be the one to step in for LYON.

Armao has played for teams as big as TSM and Team Liquid in the past, and his LCS debut came all the way back in 2016. As far as last minute replacements go, Armao is second to none when it comes to experience.

LYON's debut at the 2026 LCS Summer will come this Saturday, July 25, against FlyQuest.
