Gen.G are the best LCK team of the year, and there's little doubt about it. To add to an already remarkable year, Gen.G took down Hanwha Life Esports in the LCK 2025 Season Grand Finals, collecting yet another trophy.

Gen.G Dominate 2025: Three Trophies... So Far

For all of the star power on the squad after the return of Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk, the year got off to a rough start for Gen.G. The team looked poised to run the LCK in 2025, yet fell just short of collecting their first trophy back in February when they lost the Finals of the LCK Cup to Hanwha Life Esports.

From then on, though, Gen.G have been on a tear. The team put up an undefeated run through the first half of the LCK 2025 Season before heading to MSI and the Esports World Cup ready to prove they weren't just the best team in the LCK; they were the best in the world.

After back-to-back international trophies at the two events, Gen.G's stellar run of form continued.

Exacting Revenge Over Hanwha Life Esports

Despite a shock loss to KT Rolster to kick off the playoffs, Gen.G kept their eyes on the ball. Following consecutive victories over T1 and KT in the Lower Bracket, the team earned themselves the chance to make up for the LCK Cup loss and take on Hanwha Life in yet another finals. And this time, things would be different.

Throughout the Grand Finals, Gen.G never gave up control after speeding to an early 2-0 lead in the series. Following a Game 3 loss to a dynamic HLE comp, the team closed out the series in a bloody and chaotic fourth game.

Trophy in hand, Gen.G completed their revenge over HLE not just to win the LCK 2025 Season, but also secure themselves their region's first seed at Worlds 2025, where the team will have the chance to do the unthinkable by going three for three in international trophies in a single year.

Ruler: The Return of an MVP

The star ADC may have spent two years away from the team, but for Gen.G fans, it's as if Ruler never left. Year in and year out, Ruler continues to prove he's one of the best in the world at his position, often shining brightest under pressure.

This has never been more true than during these LCK Finals, where the star player capped off a near-flawless series with a collection of expertly played team-fights in the final game. When Gen.G needed him most, Ruler dug deep, powering his team to the trophy.

After finishing the match with 34 kills, Ruler was named Finals MVP, putting the final touches on what has been a triumphant return to the organization.

Now it's up to Ruler and rest of Gen.G to perform on the biggest stage of all: Worlds 2025
