The latest wave of updates to League of Legends is set to arrive with Patch 25.15, which will bring changes to several of your favorite champions, including an overhaul of Rek'Sai's kit after the champion was forced to spend years in the shadows.

Let's go over some of the biggest changes coming our way when LoL Patch 25.15 goes live on Wednesday, July 30th.

Rek'Sai Returns!

One of the biggest pieces of news coming with Patch 25.15 will be the return of an old Rek'Sai mechanic. Before the champion's mid-scope update back in 2024, Rek'Sai's [Unburrowed-E] Furious Bite used to deal true damage when used at max fury. Now, that beloved mechanic will finally return when the new patch goes live.

Along with this change, Rek'Sai will receive several other updates to her kit in order to boost the champion's strength. These changes include a reduction to the per-target cooldown of her [Burrowed-W] Unburrow, as well as changes to her [R] Void Rush. Starting from Patch 25.15, the damage of Rek'Sai's ultimate will scale with the target's max HP, as opposed to their missing HP, meaning it will no longer function solely as an execute.

Tank Supports Plummet

After engage support champions continued to rule pro play at MSI 2025, Riot Games decided it was finally time to bring tank supports down a notch. This means that all three of Alistar, Rell, and Braum will receive nerfs in Patch 25.15, aimed particularly at reducing their tankiness.

Whether this will be enough to see enchanter supports step into the spotlight, or see other engage supports (hi, Leona) step forward instead, remains to be seen.

Paying for the Sins of the Ruined King

One of the most iconic items in League of Legends, Blade of the Ruined King (BotRK), received a substantial buff to its on-hit damage during the previous patch (25.14). Now, one patch later, some of the champions that benefitted the most from this change are now forced to pay the price.

IreliaBel'Veth, and Master Yi will all receive nerfs in LoL Patch 25.15 due to their rise in power following the buffs to BotRK. For Bel'Veth and Master Yi, this means nerfs to their respective abilities. Irelia, meanwhile, will take a hit when it comes to her base HP regeneration numbers in order to lower her laning strength a touch.

A Shifting Meta

Between the nerfs to BotRK users and tank supports, as well as Rek'Sai's update and changes to several other champions, Patch 25.15 may turn out to bring a considerable shift to the League of Legends meta. For this reason, it's always important to keep updated with the latest changes coming to the game.
