Team Liquid look indomitable right now. In their first match of the 2026 LCS Summer Playoffs, the TL squad dominated FlyQuest, delivering a statement 3-0 to secure their spot at this year's League of Legends World Championship.

Team Liquid Look Rock Solid

After breezing through the Regular Season (finishing with a 6-1 record), Team Liquid arrived at the 2026 LCS Summer Playoffs without skipping a beat. With a first-round bye, the team only needed a single win to qualify for Worlds 2026, and boy did they deliver.

Up against FlyQuest, TL showed they were a cut above every step of the way. When it was all said and done, TL swiftly swept their rivals off the back of a stellar Brandon "Josedeodo" Villegas in the Jungle, a player who left FLY little room to breathe from very early on.

Return to the Big Stage... This Time on Home Soil

This year, Worlds is heading to North America. With their spot already booked, Team Liquid will want to make sure they keep up the good run of form and put on a show for their fans on home soil.

Though the team missed Worlds last year, a complete overhaul of their topside to start the new season seems to be exactly what Team Liquid needed. As of late, the team simply looks unstoppable in the LCS.

The job is far from over, though. The 2026 LCS Summer trophy is still up for grabs and, perhaps more importantly, TL still need to win at least one more match in order to dodge the Play-Ins at Worlds 2026 and secure their spot straight into the Swiss Stage.

Up next, Team Liquid will take on Cloud9 on Sunday, September 27, for a spot in the Grand Finals.
