One thing this game is always known for is having a tonne of Rocket League events to keep players coming back for more. So when the Nike FC Cup came round, they seem to have jumped at the chance to have a big event again.

The event, beginning on November 17th, will be released in two parts. As usual, there will be a bunch of in game challenges to complete to get the rewards, almost like a mini Rocket League battle pass. There’s a lot to come from this event so buckle in!

Stage 1 - What’s to come?

This first stage is going to hit the game on November 17th and run until December 6th, which kills the time until the Rotterdam Major! In that time, there’s plenty of opportunities to unlock over 40 decals by completing challenges. Because this is a Nike event, fans can expect a whole lot of Nike themed skins. In fact, the decals for stage 1 reflect designs from famous Nike football boot designs.

The fan clash - play as your country

Item shop aside, the most exciting part of this Rocket League event is a game mode where fans can sign up and play as their country (or just their favorite country) to earn rewards on a “massive scale”. This mode is only available for a couple of weeks, from November 17th to November 30th so look forward to some intense play to earn as many points as possible in this time! However, it should be said that fans will have to jump through a couple of hoops in order to take part in this part of the event:

  1. Sign up at the Nike FC Cup website and pick your team.
  2. Play some Rocket League games to start earning points through goals, assists and other skills. It’s not all about the wins.
  3. Based on how many points your country earns over the course of the event, you’ll receive drops.

It’s as simple as that! It might be less than ideal to rely on other players to earn points for your rewards but working with a team can certainly add a little spice to the event!

Nike FC Showdown

As well as the new kind of competition, there’s a brand new pink and blue arena with a limited time game mode available. Unlike the usual 3v3 format, this mode is 4v4 and plays with an exclusive Nike ball that uses Mutator Settings. That means that players will need a different skill set to what they’re used to but this mode is going to be hype! You’ll have a little more time to prepare for this mode too, it’s available all the way from November 30th to December 14th.

Stage 2 - New items available

Most of the exciting parts of this Rocket League event are taking place in stage 1 but there’s still a pretty cool item drop expected in stage 2, it’s smaller but nonetheless worth your time, which is pretty similar to the Block Party event too! The details are available on the Rocket League official site but there will be no spoiler from us! What we can say is that the unique Nike items have been specially chosen to lend a little glamor to the decals for those players who prefer a flashier model. The whole Nike FC Pack had a really futuristic vibe and can be purchased for 300 credits!
