Riot Games has officially confirmed "FIRESTARTER" as the new K/DA song, marking the virtual League of Legends group's first original release in nearly six years. The announcement also revealed the artists featured on the track and the premiere time for its official music video.
On social media, K/DA shared the message "You started the fire without us?" alongside a link to the upcoming video on YouTube.
When Does K/DA's New Song FIRESTARTER Come Out?
K/DA's new song "FIRESTARTER" premieres on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 7 PM PDT (10 PM EDT). For international fans, that translates to 2 AM UTC on Monday, October 19.
The official music video will premiere on YouTube, where Riot Games has already shared a link for fans to watch the release.
The confirmed premiere comes four days after K/DA first teased its comeback. At the time, Riot shared images of the group's four members alongside the phrase "Start a Fire" and a reference to October 20.
Who Is Singing K/DA's New Song FIRESTARTER?
"FIRESTARTER" features MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle, Sophie Powers, and Mimi Webb. The four artists are confirmed in the official music video title released by Riot Games.
MIYEON and SOYEON were part of K/DA's original 2018 lineup, providing the vocals for Ahri and Akali, respectively. Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb are the new additions announced for this release.
The virtual group consists of League of Legends champions Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. Previous releases have also featured artists including Madison Beer, Jaira Burns, Bea Miller, Wolftyla, and Lexie Liu.
What Happened to K/DA's Rumored Song WATCH ME?
Before "FIRESTARTER" was announced, another potential K/DA song had already attracted attention. In August, an unreleased track titled "WATCH ME", attributed to the group, reportedly appeared in the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) database.
The registration listed five songwriters: Felicia "Feli" Ferraro, Nija Charles, Ali Tamposi, Federico Vindver, and Sébastien Najand.
The discovery sparked speculation about K/DA's comeback, but Riot Games has not confirmed whether "WATCH ME" is a separate upcoming song or if the registration is connected to the group's current project.
When Was K/DA's Last Song Released?
K/DA's last musical release came in November 2020 with the "ALL OUT" EP. The project featured five tracks, including "MORE" and "THE BADDEST," building on the success of the group's 2018 debut single, "POP/STARS."
Released during Worlds 2018, "POP/STARS" surpassed 100 million YouTube views in approximately one month and topped Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart. The music video has also exceeded 668 million views.
K/DA's comeback follows a series of Riot Games music releases in 2026. In September, HEARTSTEEL released "Live My Life", its second single, while True Damage returned with "Know My Name", the official Worlds 2026 anthem.
Pentakill also contributed to another Riot music project, appearing in an orchestral version of the Worlds 2026 theme.
