With BLAST Bounty underway, Krakow in the pipeline, and the PGL Cluj-Napoca teams announcement, we have officially kicked off the 2026 season of Counter-Strike esports. And this time, Cluj-Napoca will host 16 of the biggest names in CS esports to become the TOs most stacked event to date

Let’s take a look at what the tournament has to offer. 

Teams and Format

PGL Cluj-Napoca will feature 16 teams invited via the VRS. These are the top 16 teams in the January 5th Global ranking, with the exception of Team Spirit (VRS #4) and Team Liquid (VRS #13), who are replaced by teams ranked #17 and #18.

These 16 teams will take on each other in a two-stage tournament.

Group Stage

  • 16-team Swiss stage
    • Teams have to win three games before losing three games
  • Fixtures based on VRS ranking
  • All matches are Bo3
  • Top 8 qualify for the Playoffs

Playoffs

  • 8-team single-elimination bracket
  • Teams are seeded based on their Group Stage performance
  • All matches are Bo3
  • Grand Finals are Bo5

Schedule

The detailed schedule and fixtures for PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 will be disclosed closer to the tournament. 

Expected Schedule for the tournament is as follows: 

  • Saturday, February 14th:  Group Stage - Swiss Round 1
  • Sunday, February 15th: Group Stage - Swiss Round 2 
  • Monday, February 16th:  Group Stage - Swiss Round 3
  • Tuesday, February 17th: Group Stage - Swiss Round 4
  • Wednesday, February 18th:  Group Stage - Swiss Round 5
  • Thursday, February 19th: Playoffs - Quarterfinals Day 1 
  • Friday, February 20th: Playoffs - Quarterfinals Day 2
  • Saturday, February 21st: Playoffs - Semifinals
  • Sunday, February 22nd: Grand finals
