Player Breaks Historic CS2 Record and Still Loses the Match
Slaven "AwaykeN" Lyubenov made Counter-Strike 2 history by recording 62 kills in a single map on LAN. The performance set a new LAN record, but even that was not enough to secure a win for his team.
The Bulgarian player reached the mark during INFURITY's match against Inner Circle Academy at the Urban Riga Open Season 7 in Riga, Latvia. After six overtimes on Dust2, INFURITY fell 31-29.
The best-of-one group stage match stretched to 60 rounds. AwaykeN finished with 62 kills and 37 deaths, as well as 105 ADR, an 81.7% KAST.
AwaykeN Sets New CS2 LAN Kill Record
The performance put AwaykeN alone at the top of the list for most kills in a single CS2 map on LAN. Including online matches, the Bulgarian is tied for third overall with 62 kills.

INFURITY Finish Fourth at the Tournament
Despite the historic performance, INFURITY could not turn AwaykeN's individual record into a victory. Inner Circle Academy came out on top 31-29 after the marathon 60-round map.
The result did not end INFURITY's run at the Urban Riga Open Season 7. The team defeated HAVENs and KUUSAMO, finished second in Group A, and advanced to the playoffs. INFURITY swept HYPERSPIRIT 2-0 in the quarterfinals before falling 2-1 to ENCE in the semifinals.
INFURITY then faced Inner Circle Academy again in the third-place match, where another loss left the team with a fourth-place finish.
