Just days after it was revealed that the team's Assistant Coach Žiga "Apples" Jereb was engaging in inappropriate behavior with fans, Karmine Corp has made the decision to dismiss him altogether. In their announcement, the organization cited "failure to comply with the ethical charter" as the reason behind Apples' termination.

With Karmine Corp's season done and dusted after the team failed to qualify to Worlds 2025, their off-season moves have started a little earlier than anticipated, beginning with the exit of their Assistant Coach.

Apples "Apologizes" for His Actions

After using his position in the team to begin inappropriate relationships with fans of Karmine Corp, as well as leaking confidential team information, it was clear Apples left the organization no other option than to dismiss him.

Following the team's announcement, Apples posted on apology on his X account. The nature of the apology, however, certainly raises some questions marks.

"I recognize that my actions have caused harm to the club and that the relationship with the fans cannot be repaired. Therefore, I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the club's decision."

Apples begins his apology by acknowledging the harm he may have caused Karmine Corp with his actions. There is no mention in sight, however, of any of potential harm caused to the people he engaged with inappropriately. Then, Apples continues:

"I want to be transparent: I completely understand the club decision to let me go because I shared information I thought wasn't harmful at the time because now I have learned that it could have been."

Once more, Apples redirects the attention away from his inappropriate conduct with the fans. According to his apology, it seems as if KC's former Assistant Coach believes his sharing of confidential information was the only reason for his termination.

Apples does go on to talk about his engagement with fans, though, but not through the lens of his termination, or even that of remorse. No, Apples brought it up solely to clarify that throughout his inappropriate relationship with fans, he never acted illegally.

You can read the complete apology below:

There's no doubt Karmine Corp made the right call here. Now, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Apples as far as competitive League of Legends is concerned.
