After tripping over Anyone's Legend earlier in the Swiss Stage, Gen.G decided it was time to lock in. In their final match of the Swiss Stage, the LCK champions dominated Top Esports to seal their spot in the Quarterfinals of Worlds 2025 without breaking a sweat.

Having shown exactly what they're capable of when firing on all cylinders, Gen.G will arrive in the playoffs as the biggest threat every team would like to avoid.

Gen.G Run Over Top Esports

Looks like their loss to Anyone's Legend may have gotten Gen.G a little upset. During their last match of the Swiss Stage, the LCK squad showed up ready to take out their anger towards the LPL on Top Esports, who simply didn't stand a chance in the match.

With every member of the team looking sharp, Gen.G took down TES in just 53 minutes of play across two games. Despite TES coming away with several power picks in their drafts, the team failed to match Gen.G's clean execution time and again on the Rift.

In the end, the reigning LCK champs put up 44 kills to TES' 15 across the series, showcasing just how far ahead of the opposition they truly are when they get to play their game.

The win sees Gen.G join Anyone's Legend, KT Rolster, Hanwha Life Esports, and G2 Esports in the Quarterfinals, where the remaining two spots await to be filled.

Round 4 Action Continues

Over on the lower side of the Swiss Stage, Movistar KOI survived their bout against Team Secret Whales after an early scare, and will now have one final chance to lock in a second playoffs spot for the LEC.

But first, Round 4 action continues tomorrow, October 24th, where last year's finalists of BLG and T1 are down to their last life at Worlds 2025.
