Diable Joins Nongshim RedForce in 1-for-1 Player Trade
It’s official. Nam “Diable” Dae-geun is reportedly headed for Nongshim RedForce as part of a talent trade. The former BNK FEARX AD Carry player had been benched just two days prior by said organization, with disciplinary reasons cited.
BNK FEARX and Nongshim RedForce Set to Trade Talent
Now both organisations are set to carry out a 1-for-1 player trade, involving Diable and Nongshim’s current AD Carry player – Kim “Taeyoon” Tae-yoon.
Taeyoon was a recent addition to the Nongshim roster, having joined in November 2025 after a year abroad on Team WE. Before this, he had a stint on Kwangdong Freecs and was an Academy and Challenger player for DRX between 2020 and 2021.
For Diable, this is considered a step-up for his career, despite the initial setback of being benched. While FEARX did indeed qualify for their first-ever international earlier this year (First Stand 2026), they have been struggling in Rounds 1-2, currently sitting at 7th on the leaderboard with a 2-6 record going into Week 5.
Meanwhile, there are 2 massive points for Diable in joining Nongshim. Firstly, they’re sitting more comfortably with a 4-5 record, even counting their most recent loss to T1 last evening.
Secondly, the roster assembled by Nongshim, on paper at least, is far superior. It includes 2 former World champions in Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon (DRX 2022) and Lee “Scout” Ye-chan (EDG 2021), as well as Son “Lehends” Si-woo, MSI Champion in 2024.
For Nongshim, this is a win as well. Diable is considered one of the hottest ADC prospects in recent times, and his mechanical prowess is rated extremely highly, making him a much sought-after talent.
Nongshim Gunning for the Summit
With this singular move, Nongshim are making a real push to finish among the frontrunners heading into the final weeks of Rounds 1-2. With the three usual suspects of HLE, T1, and Gen.G leading the way, along with a strong-performing KT Rolster, Nongshim was hard-pressed to close the distance.
But with Diable’s addition, it makes their upcoming series against Gen.G next week suddenly far more interesting, and a push for a deep Playoffs becomes not only more plausible but a genuine threat for other LCK teams.
