As solo queue intensifies in Patch 25.14, a few champions in each role have emerged as especially powerful and consistent picks. After the latest wave of changes coming to League of Legends, it is time to look at the champions that offer amazing carry potential thanks to meta shifts, buffed abilities, or item changes.

So, without further ado, let's go over the best champions to help you climb the ranked ladder in Patch 25.14.

Best champions to climb ranked in League of Legends (LoL) Patch 25.14

Top Lane

Warwick

Patch after patch, Warwick continues to dominate. Thanks to his incredible sustain in lane and his ability to shut down enemy carries with his [R] Infinite Duress, Warwick holds the highest win rate in the Top Lane (52.62%) in Patch 25.14, and is a reliable choice for anyone looking to climb in Solo Queue.

Mordekaiser

With the recent buffs to his [Q] Obliterate, Mordekaiser remains one of the most lane-dominant Top Laners in the game. With a simple kit and straightforward playstyle, there is no doubt The Iron Revenant is currently one of the strongest champions in the game.

Sett

A proven lane bully, Sett continues to shine thanks to strong early-game trades and a complete kit. Due to his tankiness, burst capabilities, pushing power, and crowd control, Sett can make for a great pick in just about any ranked game of League of Legends.

Jungle

Trundle

An underrated powerhouse, Trundle boasts a good early clear, strong dueling, and a tank-crushing ultimate. Though less flashy than other meta junglers, the Troll King remains one of the most reliable champions when it comes to Solo Queue, as demonstrated by his outstanding 53.12% win rate.

Warwick

Warwick shows up yet again on this list, this time in the Jungle. The champion's [W] Blood Hunt allows you to hunt down early kills without too much trouble, while his [R] Infinite Duress can prove crucial in later teamfights, making him a strong Jungle pick to climb ranked in Patch 25.14.

Volibear

Buffed earlier in the season, Volibear continues to thrive. His strong gank setup and dueling power allow players to consistently secure early leads. Meanwhile, Volibear's [R] Stormbringer ensures you remain a threat even in the late game.

Mid Lane

Xerath

Xerath’s poke-centric style allow players to take over the lane and shut down the enemy Mid Laner in the process. Later on, after securing a few items, Xerath can single-handedly take out a priority target from a distance thanks to his unrivaled burst power.

Malzahar

Good waveclear, precise lockdown, and the relative safety of his [P] Void Shift — is there anything Malzahar can't do? If your team ever finds itself in trouble when dealing with a fed enemy carry, remember that all Malzahar needs to do is use his [R] Nether Grasp.

Diana

If assassins are more your style, then Diana offers the best chance to succeed. Even after a single early kill, Diana can easily take over games and change the course of teamfights with a single well-timed [R] Moonfall. This makes Diana the assassin with the highest win rate (51.91%) in the Mid Lane in Patch 25.14.

Bottom Lane

Nilah

Nilah’s aggressive early laning and scaling make her a terrific pick for climbing the ranked ladder. Though her playstyle can take some getting used to, Nilah can snowball incredibly quickly, single-handedly wiping the enemy team with her [R] Apotheosis when ahead.

Sivir

With unrivaled pushing power thanks to her [Q] Boomerang Blade and [W] Ricochet, Sivir can put incredible amounts of pressure onto her opponents in the bottom lane early on.

When paired with the right Support pick, Sivir can prove to be one of the strongest ADCs of Patch 25.14.

Kog’Maw

Aided in part by his relatively low pick rate (1.7%), Kog'Maw currently holds the highest win rate in the Bottom Lane at a staggering 54.08%.

If you'd like to take this hyper-carry for a spin, just remember that positioning and staying safe are key when it comes to maximizing Kog'Maw's potential in Solo Queue.

Support

Milio

Milio is simply one of the best Supports in the game when it comes to enabling your carries to take over games. His [W] Cozy Campfire and [E] Warm Hugs are great for empowering your ADC, while [R] Breath of Life can allow you to keep your entire team alive even in the most dire of circumstances.

Nami

Like Milio, Nami excels at empowering her teammates. The champion's [W] Ebb and Flow and [E] Tidecaller's Blessing have made her a favorite among ADC players, and for good reason. Her [Q] Aqua Prison and [R] Tidal Wave, meanwhile, make for terrific peeling abilities.

Taric

The single melee Support on this list, Taric has risen to hold the highest win rate in the role in Patch 25.14 (53.17%). This is all thanks to having one of the most game-changing ultimates in the game, which can make your entire team invulnerable during a teamfight.

Remember, though, Taric rewards acute timing and synergy with your teammates above all.

Keeping Up With the Meta

While no champion will magically make you win games, knowing which are the strongest champions of the patch can maximize your chances of winning to climb the ranked ladder. With that in mind, it's always important to keep up to date with the latest updates, buffs, and nerfs coming to League of Legends. For the time being, these are without a doubt the best champions in Patch 25.14 when it comes to climbing Solo Queue!
