Despite not winning the LCK Mid of the Year Award, Bdd's stellar performance at Worlds 2025 proved enough to see him secure the Player of the Year Award for himself. It's worth remembering that, at this year's tournament, Bdd was able to lead KT Rolster to their first-ever Worlds finals.

The KT star finished Worlds 2025 as the highest rated Mid Laner at the tournament in KDA (6.53), kills per game (5.13), and gold per minute (439), demonstrating just how crucial he was to KT's historic run. What's more, Bdd may well have won Worlds too if it weren't for Faker and T1's undeniable clutch factor.

Though he may have fallen just shy of the mark at Worlds, the 2025 LCK Player of Year Award will have to do as a consolation prize for the time being for Bdd.

A Historic Year of LCK Domination

It's undeniable at this point, the LCK is the top League of Legends league in the world. This year (2025) was a particularly impressive one for the LCK for several reasons. First off, the region managed to win all three international tournaments of the season (First Stand, MSI, and Worlds), with a different LCK team lifting the trophy at each event.

When it came time for the biggest tournament of all, three of the four Semifinalists at Worlds 2025 were from the LCK. Then, with the Grand Finals being an all-LCK brawl, South Korea managed to claim their fourth consecutive Worlds title, and remains just one away from matching their own record set back in 2017.

Now, as teams head into the 2026 season with brand new rosters, it will be interesting to see whether the LCK can keep their momentum and dominate yet another year of League of Legends esports.
