The International Regional Qualifiers are coming to an end, but not before deciding which North American team will fight for the Aegis of Champions while representing their region.

North America was once a strong and prosperous region, but nowadays only four teams remain in contention for the TI 2026 Regional Qualifiers. GamerLegion enters as the favorite, and it seems very unlikely that they will miss out on the only slot available.

GamerLegion will most likely run everyone over in the North American Qualifiers to The International 2026.

Invited Teams

With only four contestants, we have a relatively small list of candidates, starting with GamerLegion as the clear favorite and three other teams coming from the North American Open Qualifiers.

Take a look at the list of eligible candidates for the North American Qualifiers:

Out of the bunch, GG Boom stands out as a roster featuring three Chinese players, one Singaporean midlaner, and an American carry, which mostly feels like the justification they needed to try their luck in the North American Qualifiers.

TI 2026 Regional NA Qualifiers: Format

Despite the small number of contestants, the tournament will still follow the traditional double-elimination bracket, with best-of-three series and a best-of-five Grand Final.

If we take GamerLegion out of the picture, the most recognizable player in the Qualifiers is Jaron "monkeys-forever" Clinton, who will play as the offlaner for The Bug.

If everything happens as expected, GamerLegion will need to win three matches to secure the North American slot and punch their ticket to The International 2026.

TI 2026 Regional NA Qualifiers: Schedule

The Upper Bracket Semifinals will be the opening round of the North American Regional Qualifiers and will be played according to the region's local time zone. This schedule should also be fairly comfortable for South American fans.

Let's take a look at the schedule for the TI 2026 NA Regional matchups:

DateTimeTeam 1vs.Team 2
June 2420:00 GMTThe Bugvs.GG Boom
June 2423:00 GMTGamerLegionvs.4 Anchors and Ilmeria

Closing Thoughts

Despite the glory days at The International 2015, when Evil Geniuses lifted the Aegis of Champions, North America has clearly become a region that has declined significantly when it comes to professional Dota 2.

Most of the region's talented players and promising organizations transitioned to Western Europe, and whichever team establishes itself as the best in the region now has a relatively easy path to any major tournament that still uses region-based invites.

When the North American Qualifiers conclude, we will provide an overview of all qualified and invited teams heading to The International 2026, so remember to keep checking our coverage in the news section of the Strafe website!
