The International 2026 Invites Are Out!

Valve has released the list of invites for this year's International. Seven Dota 2 teams are directly invited to the tournament. This leaves the nine remaining slots to be given out through qualifiers.

Valve also shared information regarding how tickets would work for this year's TI. This includes the bundles and when they go on sale.

Team Falcons are invited to defend their Aegis.

The invited teams are usually the best-performing squads of the year leading up to The International. This year it's Aurora Gaming (top-three at three ESL events). Team Falcons (mostly due to decent results and defending champions). Team Liquid (three podium finishes, including winning Blast Slam VI). Team Yandex (winners of PGL Wallachia 7 and second place in Birmingham). Xtreme Gaming (winner of ESL Challenger and best team in host country). Tundra Esports (winners of both Birmingham and DreamLeague Season 28). And lastly, BetBoom Team, nicknamed BoomBoys this time.

It's interesting to note that Parivision, who won the latest major event, DreamLeague 29, did not receive an invite. This indicates that the list was finalised before that event concluded.

Along with the invited teams, the regional qualifiers will be split into 5 separate regions. Each region has a list of teams invited to the closed qualifier.

Valve also released information regarding tickets for The International LAN. The event will have a 4-day playoff section, with two weekdays and a weekend to conclude the event.

Tickets are released in four different tiers. Starting at D and ending with A tier. Higher tiers cost more and will be closer to the action. Fans can opt for single-day tickets or buy a two-day bundle, either for the weekend or the first two days. Price ranges from 60 USD for a weekday D-tier ticket all the way up to 460 USD for premium weekend bundles.

Ticket sales will go online on June 10th, and there will be two separate links to purchase. This will depend on whether you are a domestic viewer in China or an international viewer flying in.

With only a few months away, The Internatinal is approaching fast. Teams and fans alike have plenty of time to prepare but need to start doing so now if they wish to attend the event.
