Team Nemesis Adds Brazilians to Their Roster

Team Nemesis Adds Brazilians to Their Roster

After spending months 'on the bench' after leaving Heroic's roster, João Gabriel "4nalog" Giannini Santos is back to professional Dota 2 as Team Nemesis' new midlaner.

In addition to 4nalog, the Singaporean team also signed Rodrigo "Lelis" Santos as soft support and a Moldovan player named Vladislav "rubikon155" Gaidau as carry.

Team Nemesis added some Brazilian spice to their roster.

Team Nemesis With Brazilian Spice

During a brief moment in 2025, we saw Team Nemesis shine like never before by securing Southeast Asia's spot at The International 2025 after defeating Talon Esports in the regionals.

Since then, the team has had more lows than highs and recently decided it was time for change. The result was the announcement of 4nalog's return, who had already played as a stand-in during DreamLeague Season 27, to become the new midlaner on the Dota 2 roster.

Taking advantage of the "winds of change", our dear LESLÃO also packed his bags and headed to the Southeast Asian team. He had mentioned wanting to play as offlaner on his YouTube channel but is returning to position 4, as support.

At the same time, a new piece enters the professional Dota 2 board. Team Nemesis decided to bet on an unknown carry from Moldova. Will we see Vladislav "rubikon155" Gaidau become a new star in pro Dota?

Beyond the talent of our players, one thing is certain: adding Brazilians to the roster always brings passionate fans to any team's side, and that will surely be true for Team Nemesis.

Next Challenges for the New Roster

After a year of ups, downs and a quick run at PGL Wallachia Season 7, the new Team Nemesis roster's trial by fire will be in a smaller tournament but one with big names involved.

1win Essence I is a tournament on the Western European server and will feature major orgs like Aurora Gaming, Tundra Esports, PARIVISION and Team Yandex.

Team Nemesis has been drawn into Group B of the tournament and starts playing soon.

Team Nemesis' debut match in the tournament will be a clash against Nigma Galaxy at 18:00 on May 4 (GMT). If the new roster gets past Groups, they'll need to secure a Playoff spot in a best-of-3 on May 7th  with matches starting at 09:00.

Time to Astini-fy Team Nemesis

Finally, we have confirmation that Filipe "Astini" Ribeiro was hired as Team Nemesis' new coach. Astini is famous for improving the teams he joins and now has a challenge ahead.

He's on an upward trajectory that started with a Top 8 at the International 2023 with nouns, followed by a Top 6 with Cloud9 in 2024, and a Top 3 with PARIVISION in 2025.

The difference this time is that instead of 'jumping' to a more developed region, from North America to Western Europe and then Eastern Europe, Astini is now heading to a smaller one.

Southeast Asia has undeniable strength but hasn't made an impression in pro Dota 2 in recent months. Now the question is whether Astini can keep climbing with Team Nemesis pushing with enough strength to keep climbing The International's ladder.

Closing Thoughts

As expected after 4nalog's announcement, Team Nemesis has now earned its spot as an honorary Brazilian team after welcoming so many talents from the same country onto their Dota 2 roster.

We have another team to keep an eye on and another chance to witness the "Astini Effect" in action. It'll be interesting to see the growth in a smaller team from a smaller region.
