On top of getting the balancing just right for The International 2026, the Summer scrub also made a couple small big important updates. Dota Plus subscribers got a new post-game breakdown screen and all players can now bind non-hero unit hotkeys separately.

Let's take a quick look at these changes and explain what they mean for the casual player from now on.

Dota Plus: Upgraded Post-Game Breakdowns

The post-game summary was a bit dated, and Valve decided it was time for a change, giving players even more insights into their own and their enemies' performances throughout the match.

The new screen has more details, such as team damage mitigation, ally damage contribution, and dispels, adding another layer of data about your contribution, especially if you were playing as a support.

Dota players can never have too much information about their performance to help improve it even more.

The damage numbers now include an indication of which abilities landed the killing blows, precise breakdowns for each ability and/or item that contributed to your damage output, along with how much damage was mitigated, so you know exactly how the enemy hero escaped with 1 HP without the need to analyze the console.

Going back to support performance, we now have a more detailed healing breakdown that tracks how your abilities and items amplified or reduced incoming healing for you and your team.

Timelines are very popular for a reason. Now we have even more details to dive in during pauses.

Finally, the game timeline also got revamped, and all of the breakdowns already mentioned can be zoomed in on for each section of the match, giving you valuable knowledge about how things worked out (or not) after each decision.

Non-Hero Unit Hotkeys Customization

As a treat for the whole community, Valve also added customizable hotkeys for some non-hero units so that players can have finer control without the need to improvise control groups.

Lone Druid players will appreciate the effort on this new mechanic.

As illustrated above, the best example is Lone Druid's bear, which will now have a full set of individualized hotkeys that will facilitate micromanagement and lower the learning curve for the hero a bit.

Closing Thoughts

Despite being only a couple of changes, these updates will have a heavy and long-lasting impact on both players and spectators, and they will definitely become a topic of discussion at the upcoming International.
