Season 23 of Rocket League brings the World Cup to the virtual fields. The new update starts on June 10, at 1 PM Brasília time (9 AM PT). Players will find a structure focused on national teams, leaderboard positioning disputes, and thematic rewards. The proposal integrates real sports into casual and ranked modes, changing the identity of matches.

The digital field will receive visual elements from stadiums and an organization aimed at representing nations. The collaboration between FIFA and Rocket League in 2026 makes the experience real for those looking to test their skills in a world championship of nations context.

Limited World Cup Event

The limited World Cup event is available from June 10 to July 20, 2026. During this period, the game menu allows choosing a nation to defend in casual and ranked matches. This choice is fixed until the end of the event and defines the player's position on the global leaderboard. The Cup challenges have 14 specific tasks. Those who complete 10 of these missions receive the Hyundai Ioniq 6 as a souvenir in Rocket League.

There are advantages for users who set their preferred nation in advance. Those who select the country by July 13, at 9 AM PT, receive a free decal for the Octane and a title of the chosen national team player. When the event timer ends, final rewards are distributed according to overall performance.

Players from the winning country receive a golden version of the official decals. All participants who meet the goals receive the champion title with the respective nation's flag. The distributor delivers 47 decals based on the tournament teams. This enables varied customizations. The item package includes goal explosion, boost trail, and a universal decal inspired by World Cup stadiums.

Rocket Pass Premium News

The Rocket Pass Premium of season 23 brings a list of items based on the visual identity of the national teams. Immediate unlock of the pass delivers the Ryza Trophy Rocket League, a vehicle that uses the Octane hitbox, widely used in ranked queues. In the advanced levels of the pass, players unlock the Ryza T60, a vehicle with the Breakout hitbox and elongated shape for ball control and aerial plays.

Intermediate levels feature new boost trails with crowd visual effects, trails that spread confetti across the arena, and antennas with country flags. The set also includes thematic player anthems for goal moments. Content creator Mizu receives space in the game from June 10 to 17.

In this interval, those who access the game receive the free title of "Mizuista". Another activity is the action with influencer Jynxzi. Winning matches in this dynamic gives the reinforced dad chair roof item. Losses give Jynxzi's old chair. Overall participation distributes the Bazalright decal for chassis customization. These cosmetics work on both the Ryza Trophy and the Ryza T60.

Quality of Life Improvements and Other Features

The new update changes game mechanics with the respawn control system after demolitions. This tool allows configuring the exact location where the car respawns. This reduces the random factor in defense or attack moments. The system modifies tactical preparation in competitive and casual matches.

The training menu receives speed graphs for the car and the ball, in addition to adjustments for vehicle angle and custom shot speeds. The user can manage an initial boost in local training. For broadcasts, the anonymity option hides account data. The game now automatically skips goal replays if all participants accept.

The collision box visualization became clearer. The friends list shows the scoreboard and remaining time of ongoing matches. The replay system added the goal scorer's perspective for positioning analysis. This is one of the most complete seasons of Rocket League.
