In the world of Rocket League esports, transfers are not uncommon. Teams often make changes to their rosters at the beginning of a new split in an effort to counter any problems encountered in previous tournaments. This time around, it's EU powerhouse Moist Esports that have made the change by adding Kurtis “Kash” Cannon to their team.

Moist - Movers & Shakers in Rocket League Esports

The Moist Esports Rocket League team, which was only founded in 2022, has quickly become one of the more successful teams in the EU region. Like many brand new teams, they really made an impact on the 2022 season. After bursting onto the scene in May, they had won their first Major by July.

While things didn’t pan out exactly as they hoped at the RLCS World Championships, they still ended the Fall Split with a 2nd place finish against Gen.G Mobil1 Racing. It’s clear that their talents are not to be sniffed at!

The addition of Kash to the Moist Esports team is a major coup for the org. He is widely regarded as one of the most talented players in the Rocket League esports community. He certainly received a classically brief but warm introduction on the Moist Esports Rocket League Twitter page.

Who is Kash? British Rocket League Talent

If you’ve been following Rocket League esports for some time, you’ve likely encountered Kash before. It’s safe to say that this is not the first time he’s gone to a new team and had to learn to play with new teammates. In fact, since going pro in 2019, Kash has played on no fewer than 15 teams. That does include stints as a stand-in though!

Kash's decision to join Moist Esports is a significant move in his career, as the team has had something of a meteoric rise in the world of professional Rocket League. By joining Moist Esports, Kash will have the opportunity to compete alongside some of the best players in the world and further establish himself as one of the top players in Rocket League.

The Transfer - Mutually Beneficial

Recently, Kash served as a stand-in for Moist Esports at the Rising Stars - Odyssey #1 tournament. It clearly paid off as Moist did end up taking another second place finish. Perhaps it was this performance that convinced the powers that be that Kash was worth an official transfer.

While the Grand Finals really didn’t come together for Moist, their presence was still felt across the tournament. While Vitality may have had their number at every turn, the same cannot be said for their previous opponents including Monaco Esports, Williams Resolve and Rapido. However, it must be said that Moist was certainly favored in all of these match-ups.

A lot remains to be seen for Moist in Rocket League esports. With the Spring opens beginning in just a few days, there is certainly a rough road ahead. Moist is currently clinging onto 4th place in the EU region for the RLCS Global Rankings. That means they need to pull some wins out of the bag to qualify for Worlds. They also have recent Major winners Karmine Corps to contend with! Fans will surely be following the impact a player like Kash can make!
