The Rocket League Championship Series is already underway for the 22 - 23 year but there’s still a lot more to come. With the Rotterdam Major over and done with, there are still two more to come this season. Not only that but the World championships are only a few short months away.

It can be easier said than done to find the RLCS 2023 tournament schedule for the next year. Often, official dates aren’t announced until much closer to the time. However, you can make some educated guesses about what to expect based on previous experience.

RLCS 2023 Tournament Schedule

Each year, the RLCS tournament schedule follows a similar pattern. There are three Major seasonal events separated by three regional events too. At the end of the RLCS year, the teams that have earned enough RLCS points will take part in the World Finals each summer.

Regional Events

Before any team can take part in a Major, they’ll need to earn some points! To do this, they’ll need to fight their way through the three different kinds of regional events. In order:

  • Opens
  • Cups
  • Invitationals.

The year is separated into three Splits and each lasts a little over 2 months. Unlike a lot of other esports, there are 7 regions that take part in Rocket League. That’s a whole lot of competitions, which means for a packed RLCS 2023 tournament schedule!

Majors in the RLCS 2023 Tournament Schedule

The culmination of every Split is a Major! They are spread across the year beginning with the Fall Split Major and heading into the Winter and Spring Splits. Majors are usually offline events that take place around the world in front of a live audience.

Best teams in Rocket League - who to keep your eye on

As the years go on, there are some familiar faces that come back again and again as some of the top teams in the world. However, that’s not always the case! Unlike some other games, it can be pretty difficult to predict who will win any given tournament.

Any fan of pro Rocket League will know that the 21 - 22 World Championship was taken by Team BDS after a truly stellar performance throughout the year. However, they were nowhere to be seen at the 22 - 23 Fall Split Major!

In fact, a brand new team, Gen.G Mobil1 Racing, came from nowhere and snatched the title for themselves (as well as the prize fun and 32 RLCS points!).

It remains to be seen what will happen in the next year. With two more Splits left to come in the 22 - 23 year, you’ll need to keep your eye out to see our breakdowns of the RLCS 2023 tournament schedule!
