PGL Wallachia Season 7: Group Stage Results and Playoffs Schedule

The Group Stage of PGL Wallachia Season 7 is over. Let's take a look at the list of eight teams that got past the Group Stage and advanced to the Playoffs.

In the meantime, we will also check the reasons behind some teams getting unexpected results and how teams are performing with stand-ins.

PGL Wallachia Season 7 is the organization's first iteration in 2026.

PGL Wallachia Season 7: Group Stage Results

Third Round

The Group Stage really started to take shape in the third round, when we got our first batch of qualified and eliminated teams. Team Liquid got past the Group Stage with a perfect score of three wins but dropped a map against BetBoom Team.

Right after Liquid, Team Spirit also secured three victories, but all of them were 2–1 series. On the other side of the scoreboard, Team Nemesis and MOUZ were eliminated with a 0–3 record.

Until recently, MOUZ seemed to be on their way to joining the selected group of Tier 1 teams, but their recent performances, including this one, have been below expectations.

Fourth Round

In the fourth round, three teams moved forward. Heroic, Aurora Gaming and Team Yandex all finished with a 3–1 score. Among them, Heroic had the upper hand after defeating both Yandex and Aurora in the first and second rounds.

The trio of eliminated teams consisted of Yellow Submarine, OG and Team Falcons. Despite their status as the reigning TI Champions, Falcons played without Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak, who was replaced by Artem "lorenof" Melnyk as a stand-in.

Team Falcons had their another bad performance, once again due to having to play with a stand-in. At the same time, Team Yandex seems to be adjusting to DM pretty quickly and performed well.

Fifth Round

Finally, in the fifth and last round, we had the deciding matches for the three remaining teams that would join the Playoffs. BetBoom Team was the first team to advance after eliminating Natus Vincere.

The three remaining teams to qualify were BetBoom, Vici and Tundra.

Shortly after, Vici Gaming won the Chinese duel against Xtreme Gaming and will represent their region in the Playoffs. Good news for Vici, but not so much for the TI runner-up team.

Last but not least, Tundra Esports eliminated PARIVISION after a long match with a 2–1 score. Tundra is playing with the infamous Parker in the carry role after Pure confirmed he did not get a visa to Romania.

PGL Wallachia Season 7: Playoffs Schedule

With the Group Stage behind us, PGL Wallachia Season 7 will start the Playoffs on March 12. As mentioned in our tournament preview, the Playoffs will feature a classic double-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches and a best-of-five Grand Final.

Now, without further delay, let's check the schedule for the first round of the Playoffs:

  • March 12 — 08:00 GMT — Heroic vs. BetBoom Team
  • March 12 — 11:00 GMT — Team Spirit vs. Vici Gaming
  • March 12 — 14:00 GMT — Aurora Gaming vs. Team Yandex
  • March 12 — 17:00 GMT — Team Liquid vs. Tundra Esports

Interesting Matchups

Now that the Group Stage has selected the stronger half of the lineup, we have a better idea of which matches stand out in the first round of the Playoffs.

Team Spirit vs. Vici Gaming

Team Spirit is still struggling to achieve the results expected from a two-time TI champion organization. They have not won a tournament since Miposhka left the roster in October 2025.

On the other side of the map, Vici Gaming is getting their first chance to represent China after beating Xtreme Gaming in the Group Stage.

Both Vici and XG have an urgent need to prepare for the fight for the Aegis of Champions at TI 2026, and this tournament is an important step along the way.

Team Liquid vs. Tundra Esports

After a costly slip in DreamLeague, Team Liquid is back in the Playoffs once again. They had the best record in the Group Stage and will face Tundra Esports for a slot in the Semifinals.

Tundra Esports managed to get past the Group Stage with a stand-in and will now face a stronger Team Liquid that is on its way to finding balance. Let's see how they fare against a championship contender.

Closing Thoughts

PGL Wallachia Season 7 heads into the Playoffs with a strong but somewhat unconventional lineup. Team Liquid enters as the favorite, while Tundra Esports also has a strong squad despite the handicap of playing with a stand-in.

Team Spirit performed well during the Group Stage and will face Vici Gaming, giving us two important pieces of information. First, if they win, we will see whether Spirit is at least among the lower half of Tier 1 teams.

In addition, if Vici Gaming wins, they will take another step toward the top of the Chinese Dota scene, potentially taking the role of savior from Xtreme Gaming.

XG placed fourth at DreamLeague Season 28, which means Vici should aim to reach at least the Lower Bracket Finals to match that result.
