PGL Wallachia Season 4 is advancing to the playoffs, so let's take a quick look back at the Group Stage. Right after that, we’ll break down the upcoming playoff matches and highlight the most exciting ones to watch.
Even though we’re past the halfway mark in the tournament, the best matches are still to come. The remaining teams represent the strongest half of the competition — and most of the heavyweights have yet to face each other.

PGL Wallachia Season 4: Group Stage Recap
Round 3
After five intense days of Swiss format action, the Group Stage has come to an end. The first teams to qualify were Team Spirit and PARIVISION, who both made it through in Round 3.
Both squads breezed through their matches with three clean 2-0 wins. However, while it looked easy for them, it was a grim round for AVULUS and Talon Esports, who became the first two teams eliminated from the tournament.
Round 4
Next up, BetBoom Team, Tundra Esports, and Team Liquid secured playoff spots in Round 4. Of the trio, only Team Liquid dropped a game to a team that didn't qualify.
Meanwhile, Round 4 also saw the eliminations of Nigma Galaxy, Edge, and Shopify Rebellion. That left Heroic as the final hope for the Americas. As for Nigma, their struggle to return to the top tier of pro Dota 2 continues.
Round 5
Finally, the last three playoff spots went to Aurora Gaming, Team Tidebound, and NaVi Junior, who all won their matches convincingly in Round 5. It was almost a miracle round for Heroic, who came close to a turnaround after starting 0–2.
Surprisingly, Team Falcons were eliminated alongside Heroic and Xtreme Gaming. Despite a promising 2–0 start, they couldn’t close it out, falling short in three consecutive chances.
PGL Wallachia Season 4: Playoff Schedule
Now we turn to the playoffs, where four Eastern European teams take up half the bracket. Western Europe claims three of the remaining four spots, leaving China with just one representative. Seven of the eight playoff teams are from Europe.
While this shows the current dominance of Europe in the pro scene, it also sets the stage for some thrilling matchups. Here's the schedule for Day 1 of the PGL Wallachia Season 4 playoffs:
- 07:00 GMT – Tundra Esports x Team Liquid
- 10:00 GMT – Team Spirit x NaVi Junior
- 13:00 GMT – PARIVISION x Team Tidebound
- 16:00 GMT – BetBoom Team x Aurora Gaming
Must-Watch Matches on Day 1
Right off the bat, fans are in for a treat. The first match of the day — Tundra Esports vs. Team Liquid — is packed with storylines. As shown in the ESL One Bangkok documentary, Crystallis and SabeRLight- are still navigating the pressure of stepping into big shoes.
They joined their respective teams to replace legendary players with massive achievements. While the documentary explored their journeys in parallel, PGL Wallachia now puts them on a collision course.
Among the remaining matches, BetBoom Team vs. Aurora stands out as another top-tier clash. Both teams hail from what is arguably the strongest region in pro Dota 2 today.
Fans will also get another look at TORONTOTOKYO’s adaptation to the offlane. It’s his second role change since winning The International, and so far, it seems to be paying off for Aurora.
