NRG are the winners of VALORANT Champions Paris 2025. After what initially appeared to be a swift one-sided stomping from NRG, fans erupted in the Accor Arena as the Grand Finals of Champions Paris delivered with Fnatic mounting a comeback.

Down 2 maps, Fnatic almost completed the reverse sweep in what would have been a legendary test of stamina and determination. Ultimately, however, NRG stabilized and secured the trophy they had played so hard for.
With this victory, the Champions trophy returns to North America after a year’s hiatus.
A Battle of Wills Between NRG and Fnatic
Despite the numerous storylines and incredible games leading up to the Grand Finals, Champions Paris couldn’t have claimed the title of best VALORANT tournament if the finals failed to deliver. And for a time today, it very much looked like the case. Destruction on Corrode and Lotus, the Fnatic that took down DRX today looked nowhere in sight as NRG homed in on the coveted title.
Even on the third map, Abyss, NRG carried that momentum into a 11-1 half. But, if there’s one team we can trust to deliver a show, it’s Fnatic. The kings of comebacks began with a much-needed pistol round win to kick off the second half and from there, mounted what future generations will remember as one of the most impressive displays of mental resilience. Faced with series point, and with NRG knocking on the door of 11 then 12, Fnatic never faltered.
Fnatic then returned the favor on Ascent, quickly dispatching of a shaken NRG to equalize the series and bring the Grand Finals to the absolute final map – Sunset.

Two-Time Champions Winner
Very few players can claim to have won an international title. Even fewer still can claim to have won Champions. And within even that rarified air, one individual now stands above all the others. Ethan “Ethan” Arnold. The 25-year-old IGL for NRG made his early fortunes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before swapping over to VALORANT. In 2023, his team, Evil Geniuses, made history by winning Champions 2023 in Los Angeles.
Today, he surpassed all other contenders, by lifting a second Champions title with a different team and different teammates, 2 years later. NRG had been so close to the title. A single point away. And Fnatic had brought it all the way to a final map to decide the winner. When his team most needed a leader on the final map of Sunset, it was Ethan who took the reins and led the charge back against Fnatic to close out the win and seize the title.

Brawk Wins MVP
While Ethan was the MVP for his team in their direst moment, Brock “brawk” Somerhalder was undoubtedly the MVP for the series.

With a total of 84 kills across the 5 map series and a +23 KD rating, his numbers alone justify the accolade. But his unique playstyle and monumental impact through his use of the Odin, had possibly one of the biggest impacts on his team’s run at Champions 2025 and the meta for the game itself for a time to come.
As the teams begin leaving Paris, the 2025 season of VALORANT esports comes mostly to a close. With only a number of tournaments left, we now enter the beginning of the off-season for the majority of VCT teams, and the wait begins for the 2026 season.
