Dormant Curio is a new tier one neutral item introduced in Dota 2 patch 7.39. It buffs the next neutral artifact picked by 30% but provides no bonuses itself. It's a risky investment players can choose to make at the five-minute mark.

Dormant Curio is fast becoming one of the most picked neutral artifacts. But what is the best neutral to combine it with? Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko shared his thoughts on the item after defeating Team Liquid at DreamLeague Season 26.

Nightfall: "Dormant Curio is quite broken"

Ranking all Dota 2 artifacts and Neutral Items in Dota 2 patch 7.38
You're gonna want to pick these up whenever you can.

In the first game against Team Liquid, all of Aurora Gaming took Dormant Curio as their first tier one item. It's clear that they value it very highly.

When listing what to combine it with, Nightfall suggested either waiting for tier three, or picking two particular tier two choices.

"I think this one is quite broken. You can take it for really imba tier-2 item, or just keep it until tier 3 if you don't have broken tier 2 item like Brigand's Blade or Searing Signet."

This makes Brigand's Blade provide 4 damage per 7% missing health, instead of just 3. Personally that doesn't seem like much unless you're using a very high attack speed hero.

Searing Signet gets a total bonus of 21 damage, we really like that as a combination. But again, you can just save it for the next tier of Artifacts if nothing tickles your fancy.

Other new neutral artifacts were also discussed. Aurora Gaming went for multiple Outworld Staffs in game one, an item he insisted is balanced due to how situational it is.

Dota 2 Luna

"[Outworld Staff is] Really good item against Aghanim on Luna, but I don't think it's a broken item"

The last neutral item that has been seeing a lot of play is Divine Regalia, which provides a flat 20% extra damage buff to the holder. When the user is killed, it becomes inactive and needs to be remade to regain the bonuses.

While tier five items are inherently overpowered, some do push that limit and Divine Regalia seems like one of them. As Nightfall himself admitted, "This item is quite broken as well. Like way too much damage you get. Of course there is the risk behind it, but still it's super OP."

A new patch, a whole new meta. We look forward to seeing what else pros can innovate at the last DreamLeague of the season.

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
