LoL Game Changers Rising Returns for 2026: Format, Schedule, and More

For the second consecutive year, top-tier League of Legends competition for anyone who identifies as a woman is back! The LoL Game Changers Rising 2026 tournament will kick off May 29, where teams will compete across five months of action.

LoL Game Changers Rising 2026: A Reimagined Format

The 2026 edition of GC Rising will look a little different. This time, the tournament will include five open stages with a total prize pool of €8,750.

At every stage, teams will rise and fall in the standings as they continue to earn qualification points. Once all five stages draw to a close, the top six teams in points will qualify for the playoffs. The overall format will look as follows:

Open Stages (five total):

  • Each stage will take place over the course of a single weekend
  • The first stage will run on May 29-31:
    • Friday 29: Swiss Stage
    • Saturday 30: Playoffs
    • Sunday 31: Grand Finals 
  • Each stage will feature up to 32 teams
  • The prize pool per stage is €1,750
  • Teams can sign up here to participate

Playoffs:

  • Will take place in October
  • 8 teams total:
    • Top six teams in qualification points from the previous stages
    • Winner of Equal Esports Cup
    • Winner of Nova Series
