KRÜ Esports recently announced their official roster for the 2025 VCT Season. Aiming to improve on last year's performances, they revealed their lineup through a video on their X account. The new roster includes both familiar faces and exciting new talent, promising a blend of experience and fresh strategies.

Returning Core Players

KRÜ Esports retained three of their core players: Angelo "keznit" Mori, Fabian "Shyy" Usnayo, and Marco "Melser" Machuca. Keznit, a cornerstone of the team since 2021, will continue in his established role, bringing his experience and consistency as one of the team’s most reliable players.

Melser, who took on in-game leadership responsibilities last season after the departure of Nicolás "Klaus" Ferrari, is expected to continue as IGL. Though new to the role, Melser proved capable under pressure, helping KRÜ achieve a respectable 3rd-place finish at VCT Americas Stage 2 in 2024. These returning players form a stable foundation that will support the team’s fresh additions.

The Return of Mazino and adding Adverso

One of the most notable changes is the return of Roberto "Mazino" Rivas, previously with KRÜ from 2021 to 2022. After a stellar season with Leviatán, where he earned the VCT Americas 2024 MVP title, Mazino’s comeback is highly anticipated by fans.

As an Initiator specialist known for his skill with agents like Breach and Harbor, Mazino fills the gap left by Olavo "heat" Marcelo, who was benched after a disappointing 9th-12th place finish at VALORANT Champions 2024.

Joining KRÜ’s ranks for the first time is Benjamín "adverso" Poblete, who previously competed with the Tier 2 team All Knights in VCT Americas Ascension, securing a 3rd-place finish. As a Chilean Initiator player, adverso is the only member of his former team to make it to a Tier 1 roster this season, a testament to his skill and potential.

adverso’s role as an Initiator raises intriguing questions about KRÜ’s strategic approach in 2025. With both adverso and Mazino as Initiator specialists, KRÜ may explore double-Initiator setups, leveraging this dual utility to disrupt opponents and control critical areas of the map. Alternatively, one of the two may adapt to a new role, adding flexibility to KRÜ’s strategies and making them less predictable.

Final Roster:

KRÜ's final roster for the 2025 season consists of:

Jorge "Atom" Noriega still remains as Head Coach of the team.

With these changes, KRÜ Esports seems well-equipped for a strong showing in the 2025 VCT season. KRÜ’s journey in the upcoming season will be one to watch, as they seek to refine their strategies and climb to new heights in competitive VALORANT.
