After their loss against Joblife at the VCT EMEA 2026 Stage 2 Play-Ins, Turkish VALORANT organization PCIFIC Esports has set a new record for the most consecutive losses in a single season.

The team had previously broken Detonation FocusMe’s record of 13 last week after losing to FireFlux Esports. They also currently have a 17-match losing streak if the losses in the EWC EMEA Qualifier are taken into account.

A Tumultous Start

After qualifying for VCT EMEA as an academy affiliate of BBL, PCIFIC Esports’ Turkish roster moved to BBL for the 2026 season. This meant they had to secure a new roster before the season started.

The roster PCIFIC constructed featured multiple tier-2 talents with cNed at the helm. With limited experience as a team, few expected the roster to immediately secure results.

Unfortunately, their losses kept stacking as they placed last at Kickoff and lost all their regular season games. By the end of Stage 2, they had accumulated a 13-game losing streak, matching DFM's VCT Pacific consecutive-loss record.

The Death Knell

If PCIFIC wanted to turn their fate around, the VCT EMEA 2026 Stage 2 Play-Ins were their final shot. Surviving them meant a shot at Playoffs and an opportunity to end the season on a positive note.

Facing FireFlux Esports, PCIFIC were outclassed, only securing a total of 11 rounds in a 0-2 loss. This already broke DFM’s record.

Against Joblife, they dropped the first map 6-13, but won map 2 to keep hopes alive. Unfortunately, they could not close Split, ending their season without a win. This loss set the record for most consecutive losses in VCT history with a 15-game losing streak.

The loss also possibly concludes PCIFIC’s time in the VCT International League. If they want to play on the VCT EMEA stage again next year, PCIFIC Esports has to qualify via the open qualifiers.
