Karmine Corp's season has come to an end. Despite showing much promise at the start of the year, KC failed to show up when it mattered as Fnatic eliminate them from the 2025 LEC Summer Playoffs.

With Karmine Corp out of contention for Worlds 2025, it will be Fnatic who join G2 Esports and Movistar KOI in representing the LEC at the biggest League of Legends tournament of the year.

Downfall: Karmine Corp Miss Their Shot

Karmine Corp were feeling on top of the world to start the year. After winning their first-ever LEC title back in Winter, KC continued to make headlines by making it all the way to the Grand Finals of First Stand 2025.

From then on, though, the team struggled to maintain their form, only managing a third-place finish in Spring in the LEC. Now, it was do-or-die time for KC as they went up against Fnatic with a ticket to Worlds on the line.

The Fnatic Train Runs Over Karmine Corp

As eager as Karmine Corp may have been to prove they still belonged at the top of the league, their gameplay fell quite short of that goal. Fnatic showed up to the match arms swinging, all while KC struggled for answers.

Quickly finding themselves down 0-2 in the series, KC managed to punch back in a chaotic, back-and-forth third game. But Fnatic would not miss their chance, and loaded up to the final game ready to outplay their rivals across the board. After Fnatic took Game 4 to secure the 3-1 victory, Karmine Corp looked stunned.

In the space of just six months, KC managed to go from an LEC title and an international finals appearance, to missing out on Worlds altogether and waving goodbye to the season sooner than they would have liked. Now it will be interesting to see what Karmine Corp decides to do with a roster that is full of talent, but out of ideas.

LEC Action Continues!

For Karmine Corp, it's back to the drawing board as they begin to prep for the 2026 season ahead of time. Fnatic, meanwhile, continue their journey at the 2025 LEC Summer Finals in Madrid, where the squad will look to power the organization to their first LEC title in 7 years.

But first, Fnatic will take on Movistar KOI (undoubtedly a crowd favorite in Madrid) in the Lower Bracket Finals to decide which team will battle G2 Esports in the Grand Finals for a shot at the trophy. Tune in to catch the match on Saturday, September 27th, at 5 pm CET!
