In a clean sweep, G2 Esports added yet another League of Legends title to its trophy cabinet by defeating Movistar KOI in the 2026 LEC Summer Split Grand Finals in Nice, France.

Kings of Europe

G2 Esports remains the most decorated team in the region, adding another title to its long-standing legacy. The organization lifted yet another trophy after sweeping Movistar KOI 3-0 in the Grand Finals of the 2026 LEC Summer Split.

G2's Lampros "Labrov" Papoutsakis was named the Finals MVP, marking a special moment for the support player as he claimed the award for the first time.

While winning titles is nothing new for the organization, this marked the first championship for Luka "Perkz" Perković as G2 Esports' head coach. During his time with the organization as a player, Perkz won eight regional titles and the 2019 MSI title.

Despite having less dominant performances during the Group Stage, G2 Esports once again found its footing when it mattered the most. The Kings of Europe ended their LEC season on a high, securing three titles throughout the year.

This has also been one of the team's strongest international years in a while, with G2 securing a second-place finish at The First Stand and fourth place at MSI.

Now, all eyes turn to Worlds, where G2 will look to make history and compete for a new international title for the region.

G2 Esports Adds Another Title to Its Legacy

Since 2016, G2 Esports has made 24 regional Grand Finals appearances, winning 20 titles. The team has missed the Grand Finals just four times in its history.

On September 20, G2 Esports made history once again, securing its 20th title in the region, further cementing its place as the most successful organization in LEC history.

Rasmus "Caps" Borregaard Winther also extended his record as the most decorated player in the region, adding an 18th title to his impressive trophy cabinet.

G2 Esports will head to the 2026 League of Legends Worlds Championship as the region's first seed. Movistar KOI will enter the tournament as the second seed, while Karmine Corp will take the region's third seed.
