Former World Champion “Easyhoon” Returns to T1 as Coach

Former World Champion “Easyhoon” Returns to T1 as Coach

Earlier today, T1 announced that former T1 Mid Laner and 2015 World Champion, Lee “Easyhoon” Ji-hoon is slated to return to the organization. He will begin work starting with the Round 2 of the 2026 LCK season according to the T1 announcement which likely places his start around the beginning of May.

Easyhoon Returns to the T1 Fold

Despite retiring as a player back in 2018, Easyhoon has never strayed far from the League of Legends path. His career has spanned some of the most notable teams in the LCK and LPL since his departure from SK Telecom back in 2015 including coaching gigs for Suning, Weibo Gaming and Bilibili Gaming. He had also briefly returned to T1 back in 2024 for several months in the capacity of content creator, but this marks a true return for the former SKT legend.

Back in March, it was announced that Head Coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun would be taking a temporary leave of absence. T1 then announced that Im “Tom" Jae-hyeon would step up once again to fill the role of interim Head Coach. The addition of Easyhoon then as another experienced hand in addition to being an SKT alum then can only serve to further bolster the support staff in the meanwhile.

“We’re excited to welcome ‘Easyhoon’ as the newest coach of T1 starting from Round 2 of the 2026 LCK. With his years of experience, we look forward to the leadership and guidance he will bring to the team.”
