Faker and Gumayusi's agency FANABLE to take legal action against posts targeting players

FANABLE, the agency that represents both T1 Faker and HLE Gumayusi, has announced they will be taking legal action against individuals making malicious and defamatory statements about their players.

While player criticism is nothing new in esports, FANABLE felt the need to intervene after players like Gumayusi received continous harassment and abuse from so-called "fans", pushing far beyond acceptable limits.

Faker and Gumayusi's Agency Steps In

T1 may be the most successful team in League of Legends history, but their success has come at a price. Whenever the team did not perform up to standards, fans of the organization have gone as far as to send trucks and even funeral wreaths to T1's main offices as a form of protest. But things do not stop there. These same fans also posted illegal banners and billboards with insults aimed at T1 and its players.

Ultimately, the severity of these actions intensified rather than waned over time, pushing FANABLE to take legal actions.

In a statement made by the agency, FANABLE declared that:

"Recently, in some communities, malicious posts, distribution, and defamation targeting our players have continued to escalate beyond acceptable levels, often without any effort at self-restraint. As a result, we have reached the conclusion that it is no longer possible to overlook these actions.
Accordingly, we will actively review and proceed with all possible measures, including both civil and criminal legal actions, in response to such behavior."

For now, it remains to be seen whether FANABLE's intervention will prove enough to see this kind of actions come to a halt, or if matters will only grow in scale from here.
