Eight top Counter-Strike teams have now entered the playoffs of ESL Pro League Katowice. From October 9 to 11, these teams will compete in front of a live audience at the Spodek Arena for a share of the $1 million prize pool.

Here's everything you need to know about the tournament, including its schedule, format, match predictions, and more.

Teams, Bracket, and Format

ESL Pro League Season 24 kicked off with a 16‑team Swiss Group Stage. Teams had to earn three wins within five matches to advance to the playoffs. After five days of highly competitive matchups, eight teams remain:

Vitality and MOUZ earned their playoff slots after flawless 3‑0 runs in the Swiss stage, while Falcons, Aurora, and 1win advanced with 3‑1 records. Spirit, FURIA, and PARIVISION fought all the way to Round 5 of the Swiss stage to edge through with 3‑2 tallies.

These eight teams will now compete in a single‑elimination bracket to determine the tournament's winner. All matches are best‑of‑three, with the exception of the Grand Final, which will be best‑of‑five.

Quarterfinals Fixtures

1win vs Aurora

The recently formed 1win lineup has been impressive so far in their Tier 1 debut as a team. Though they began their tournament run with a loss to Vitality, they went on to surprise viewers with massive wins over G2, Legacy, and Spirit.

Aurora, meanwhile, entered the playoffs with wins against 9z, BETBOOM, and FURIA, losing only to Falcons. Their performance has improved steadily since their mid‑season roster shuffle, and after finishing as runners‑up at StarSeries Fall last month, they seem determined to make another deep tournament run.

Though 1win has good momentum on their side, Aurora's big‑game experience and current form could tilt the match in their favor.

Vitality vs PARIVISION

Riding on their triumph at StarSeries Fall, Vitality entered the tournament with full steam. They continued their win streak after defeating 1win, NAVI, and Falcons in the Swiss stage. Now seemingly back in form, Vitality looks to collect silverware at this tournament as well.

PARIVISION, on the other hand, had a rather difficult Swiss stage. They started with a win against Legacy but soon found themselves on the brink of elimination after losses to Spirit and FURIA. However, after outclassing G2 and then NAVI in Round 5, the CIS roster earned its spot in the Playoffs.

Vitality's return to dominance and their current run at the tournament easily make them the favorites in this matchup.

FURIA vs MOUZ

FURIA was among the three teams with a rough Swiss stage. After defeating BETBOOM in their opener, they put in a poor showing against MOUZ. They then defeated PARIVISION, lost to Aurora, and edged past 9z to reach the playoffs.

Alongside Vitality, MOUZ had the cleanest run in the previous stage, winning all three matches. They defeated M80, FURIA, and Spirit without dropping a single map. MOUZ's recent tournament runs have also been impressive, winning BLAST Bounty Summer and finishing as runners‑up at BLAST Open Porto last month.

This will be the third time the two teams have faced off in the last month. While they hold an even record in that regard, this matchup seems to favor MOUZ. But let's not forget, FURIA is a strong and capable side, so we can't completely write them off.

Falcons vs Spirit

Team Falcons hasn't really followed up on their success at the Cologne Major, but their performance so far at ESL Pro League shows promise. They started the tournament with 2‑0 wins against TYLOO and Aurora. While they fell victim to a reverse sweep from Vitality after that, a well‑fought victory against NAVI earned them a playoff spot.

Spirit, on the other hand, had disappointing results in the previous stage. Despite winning two of their last tournaments, including EWC 2026, the team seems to have faced some resistance here in Katowice. After defeating ShindeN and PARIVISION, Spirit saw their 13‑match win streak come to an end with losses to MOUZ and 1win. They then pulled off an impressive comeback against M80 to enter the playoffs.

On paper, this is the most competitive matchup of the quarterfinals. However, given the form Spirit are currently in, this could very well be a one‑sided game. That said, both teams have incredible individual talent and winning caliber, and the match could actually go either way.

Who Will Win ESL Pro League Katowice?

Among the eight playoff contenders, we have a few teams that could leave Katowice with the EPL title.

As usual, Vitality offers the most promise. After a brief dip in form, the team made a resurgence recently, winning StarLadder StarSeries Fall. They have carried that form over and now look poised to win the tournament. Vitality is also in the easier bracket of the two, avoiding notable contenders like Spirit, Falcons, FURIA, and MOUZ.

On the other side of the bracket, MOUZ appear to be in the best form. However, the winner of the Falcons vs. Spirit matchup could also be a strong title contender. These three teams are on more or less equal footing, adding uncertainty regarding who will secure the Grand Final spot.
