Easiest Carry Heroes To Grind MMR In Dota 2 Patch 7.41e
Valve has recently squashed MMR for Immortal players in Dota 2. After years of inflation, MMR is brought back down to meaningful numbers. The result is much shorter queue times and an easier grind to make it to the leaderboards.
Thanks to the squash, Dota 2 hit its highest player numbers this year, with nearly 900 thousand players online at once. With so many returning to Dota 2, we thought it would be a good idea to showcase some of the easiest to play heroes to help you make it to the Immortal bracket and get your name in the top 5000.

Lone Druid

Despite multiple lines of nerfs, Lone Druid remains a strong carry hero to grind MMR in Dota 2 patch 7.41e. While he isn't the easiest carry to play, his overall playstyle and strong laning earn him a spot on our list.
During the laning stage, Lone Druid can use his bear to harass enemies or secure last hits. It's very difficult to contest two heroes while last hitting. And the bear can also be used to zone out enemy supports, freeing up your own supports to rotate around the map.
The main item to rush is Aghanim's Sceptre. This allows the bear to function independently of the hero. Lone Druid can farm safe camps, while Spirit Bear chases enemies around the map, pushes lanes, and brings down buildings. All this done with minimal risk to the hero.
After Aghanim, Silver Edge, Basher, and Diffusal are great items to ensure Spirit Bear can kill pretty much everything on the map. Oh, and Mjollnir, because farming is awesome.
With a 51-52% win rate across all brackets, Lone Druid is a stable and strong carry pick right now. Not quite as busted as before, but well worth betting on.
Spectre

Spectre is a durable core with a relatively weak laning phase. She also needs radiance to really accelerate in farming. But that's the end of her problems.
Spectre benefited from the loss of Facets. Her innate grants pure damage, and she got Shadow Step that allows her to chase enemies. She still needs good support to set her up for success in the laning stage, but she is far less dependent on them than before. Arguably the most important part of playing Spectre is maximising Haunt usage early to secure kills and pressure enemies.
For item builds, after finishing Radiance, players should get Manta Style to farm faster and push out lanes. Eye of Skadi is a great pick-me-up afterwards. At that point, you can go Butterfly, Abyssal, or Heart for more durability.
Wraith King

Continuing our theme of melee heroes who buy Radiance, Wraith King is a good choice. Somewhat stronger than Spectre in the lane, Wraith King is simple to use but brings incredible damage late-game.
In the lane, one point in Wraith Fire blast is picked up to harass enemies and secure denies. Occasionally it can help get kills, but Wraith King isn't a very aggressive laner.
Players often take and max out Bone Guard by level seven. It speeds up the hero's farm tremendously and allows him that fast Radiance. After that it's worth maxing Mortal Strike to bring down enemies as fast as possible.
Wraith King isn't very fast, so a Blink Dagger is mandatory after Radiance. We highly recommend a Black King Bar and an Assault Cuirass to negate most damage received. Aghanim's Sceptre is a good way to keep allies useful after death.
Wraith King is a simple (and kinda boring) hero to use without much variety in skill or item build. He is also incredibly durable and brings a tonne of burst damage. Overall, his 54% win rate in lower pubs is well-deserved and makes him one of the best carry heroes to grind MMR in Dota 2 patch 7.41e.
