The Group Stage of the BLAST Slam IV has come to an end, setting the stage for an intense elimination phase. Several teams exceeded expectations by breaking into the Top 8, while some fan favorites now find themselves fighting for survival in the Last Chance Playoff.

BLAST Slam IV: Group Stage Recap

As anticipated during the tournament preview, the Group Stage was decisive for all 12 participating teams but had no eliminations. At the top of the standings, Tundra Esports and Team Falcons both secured 9 wins and 2 losses, guaranteeing direct seeding into the Playoffs semifinals.

Just below them, Heroic and Team Spirit finished 3rd and 4th. Their reward: starting their playoff journey in the Play-In round, where they’ll face winners coming from the Last Chance Playoff.

The remaining teams ranked from 5th to 8th will also compete in the Play-In, with matches kicking off at 13:30 GMT on October 19th. Meanwhile, the teams placed from 9th to 12th have one more obstacle ahead — the Last Chance Playoff, where only two will earn the right to continue their run.

BLAST Slam IV: Last Chance Playoffs Schedule

The Last Chance Playoff features Team Liquid, Yakult Brothers, BetBoom Team, and Execration.

Despite both Liquid and BetBoom dealing with roster shuffle turbulence, fans did not expect them to start from the bottom. Their matches open the decisive day on October 19th:

On paper, Liquid and BetBoom seem favored to advance. However, unstable rosters can be unpredictable, and an upset at this stage could drastically reshape the tournament narrative.

BLAST Slam IV: Play-In Schedule

Once the Last Chance Playoff concludes, the Play-In round will determine the remaining four teams for the Playoffs. Each matchup will be a best-of-three series, with losers eliminated from BLAST Slam IV.

We have a lot of potential on the last couple matches here. Heroic may face either Team Liquid or BetBoom, while Spirit will take on whichever team remains. If Yakult Brothers or Execration pull off an upset, their underdog run could become one of the best storylines of the event.

Closing Thoughts

The new format introduced at BLAST Slam IV has proven to be both dynamic and entertaining. Upsets, momentum swings, and clutch plays have kept the tournament unpredictable. Heroic continues to be a source of surprises, while Tundra and Falcons wait at the top, preparing to defend their strong position.

The Last Chance Playoff and the Play-In will wrap up the October portion of the event. After that, fans can look forward to FISSURE Playground 2, running from October 23rd to November 2nd, before Playoffs resume on November 7th.
