In the dynamic realm of Rainbow Six Siege, the art of operator customization goes beyond tactical prowess, extending into the realm of personal expression and style. Operator skins, with their diverse aesthetics and unique designs, play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of each operator. As we delve into the ever-expanding arsenal of skins available, it becomes clear that some stand out as the epitome of excellence.

This article explores the captivating world of operator skins, focusing on the crème de la crème among attackers and defenders. Divided into two distinct categories, our curated list encapsulates the most visually appealing, thematically resonant, and downright impressive skins available in the game. From battle-hardened attackers with skins that exude resilience to defenders sporting designs that strike fear into the hearts of adversaries, this compilation celebrates the finest in Rainbow Six Siege customization.

It's important to note that the rankings presented here are entirely subjective, reflecting my personal opinions and preferences. The beauty of operator skins lies in their subjective interpretation.

Attackers

P.S. Yes, the in game model is bugged. Can't be a Ubisoft game without a few.

This Elite skin for Sledge is based on the character Master Chief from the iconic Halo franchise. This is currently the most expensive skin in the game, at 2400 R6 credits.

Finka - Madhouse

Released during the Halloween event in 2019, this fearful take on Finka provides a nice throwback to the Outbreak event. Which was one of the most popular in the game.

Multiple Operators - Outbreak

The Outbreak skins were released along with the Outbreak Event, which took place in early 2018. In the event, Team Rainbow tackled a threat that was ravaging the town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. This event also served as the inspiration to the new Rainbow Six Extraction game. This skin is available for multiple operators in the game, and is one of the rarest.

Fuze - 2nd Shock Army

Few operators strike fear in the hearts of R6 players like Fuze does. This Elite skin, named after the 2nd Shock Army, a field army of the Soviet Union during the Second World War, is one of the best made Elites. And will ensure that your opponents give you the respect you deserve.

Zero - Third Echelon

Many are familiar with Sam Fisher, Super Spy from the beloved Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchise. Being introduced into the game with the callsign “Zero”, Sam’s Elite skin is a nice throwback to the old days of the Third Echelon.

Defenders

Smoke - Sanguine Arsenic

Probably the most stylish skin on this list, Smoke’s red, white and black outfit is one that stands out. Given the controversial nature of Smoke’s gadget, players can now hold sites and mow down opponents in style.

Lesion - Nano Tox 32

Released in June of 2019, the Elite skin for Lesion was a long time coming. With one of the most useful or annoying gadgets in the game based on who you ask, this Lesion skin adds a nice bit of flair and lore to the character.

Tachanka - Slava Korolyu

The community affectionately nicknamed Tachanka, one of the most beloved operators in the game, "The Lord." Going through a major rework in 2020, Ubisoft was now tasked with making a fitting Elite for The Lord. What came was an absolute unit of a skin showing off The Lord in all his glory.

Vigil - Accomplice

Rainbow Six Siege announced a collaboration with the popular Netflix show “La Casa de Papel” in November of 2019. And out of this collaboration came brand new skins for Vigil and Hibana, along with a rebranded Hostage game mode. This skin still remains as one of Vigil’s most popular skins.

Pulse - Lucky Seventh

Pulse is one of the operators in the game who brings immense value in terms of firepower and information. This Elite skin, based on the iconic look of Robert DeNiro from the cult classic movie “Taxi Driver”, brings with it one of the best victory animations in the game. And has quickly rose in popularity amongst the community.

While this list captures the essence of excellence in operator customization, it's crucial to acknowledge the subjectivity inherent in such rankings. Personal preferences play a significant role, and the beauty of operator skins lies in the eye of the beholder.

If you, the reader, have different opinions or favorites, we encourage you to share them in the comments below. Rainbow Six Siege is a dynamic community, and the diversity of perspectives adds to the richness of the gaming experience.

As new skins continue to be released, the world of Siege remains as dynamic as ever, providing players with endless opportunities for personal expression and style on the virtual battlefield.
