Best Carry Heroes To Grind MMR In Dota 2 Patch 7.41c

Dota 2 patch 7.41c brought a big list of changes to heroes. Among all roles, none were as impacted as carriers were. Several of the most picked carries got nerfed heavily, giving new heroes a chance to shine.

In this list we will go through three easy-to-play but highly effective carry heroes. These guys have a good win rate across all brackets without requiring much to master.

The best carry heroes in Dota 2 patch 7.41c

Lone Druid

Lone Druid.jpg

Despite multiple lines of nerfs, Lone Druid remains a strong carry hero to grind MMR in Dota 2 patch 7.41c. His only relevant change was a longer cooldown on summoning Spirit Bear. Apart from that, the hero is practically the same.

During the laning stage, Lone Druid can use his bear to harass enemies or secure last hits. It's very difficult to contest two heroes while last hitting. And the bear can also be used to zone out enemy supports, freeing up your own supports to rotate around the map.

The main item to rush is Aghanim's Sceptre. This allows the bear to function independently of the hero. Lone Druid can farm safe camps, while Spirit Bear chases enemies around the map, pushes lanes, and brings down buildings. All this done with minimal risk to the hero.

After Aghanim, Silver Edge, Basher, and Diffusal are great items to ensure Spirit Bear can kill pretty much everything on the map. Oh, and Mjollnir, because farming is awesome.

With a 52-53% win rate across all brackets, Lone Druid is a stable and strong carry pick right now. Not quite as busted as before, but well worth betting on.

Lifestealer

If using two heroes is a bit too taxing (it is for me), then you have other options. Let's begin with one of the easiest, and that's Lifestealer. Hell, this hero doesn't even have four active abilities.

Lifestealer's laning stage can be a bit rough. While he does have free lifesteal with Feast, he definitely relies on his lane partner to get him through the first few minutes of the game. But once that's over, the hero can disappear to the jungle and continue farming.

LS players have two options from here. Armlet to join fights, or Radiance to infest a big creep and accelerate his farm. We prefer Radiance ourselves. Showing up with a 15-minute Granite Golem that burns enemies with Radiance is a tremendous amount of pressure for opponents to deal with.

After that, as the game goes late, Lifestealer can adjust his item build to suit the game. Abyssal against magic-immune targets, Sange and Yasha against heroes with BKB-piercing abilities, Aghanim's Sceptre for more options in a fight, and Monkey King Bar if you need to counter evasion. There's not a whole lot of bad core items for Lifestealer (but Heralds will find a few somehow).

With his percentage-based damage, built-in magic immunity, and incredible utility of Infest, Lifestealer is a great carry to pick in Dota 2 patch 7.41c.

Spectre

Similar to Lifestealer, Spectre is another durable core with a relatively weak laning phase. She also needs radiance to really accelerate in farming.

While she has a similar first 15 minutes to Lifestealer, Spectre is a very different type of carry hero. While LS pressures enemies by infesting a big creep and running at them, Spectre instead applies pressure by joining fights with her ultimate. At critical moments, Spectre can Haunt in and secure a kill for her squad.

For item builds, after finishing Radiance, players should get Manta Style to farm faster and push out lanes. Eye of Skadi is a great pick-me-up after. At that point, you can go Butterfly, Abyssal, or Heart for more durability.

And those are our three carry picks to grind MMR in Dota 2 patch 7.41c. While there are other viable options, we truly believe that Lone Druid, Lifestealer, and Spectre are the easiest three to pick up and win games with.
