Emil "Magisk" Reif has made a return to Astralis, rejoining the Danish organization where he previously cemented his legacy with three Major championships. This move comes after his recent release from Falcons, closing a chapter marked by both triumph and turbulence.

Despite a rocky start, Magisk’s time with Falcons was marked by key successes, including helping the team secure the PGL Bucharest trophy. After this high point, the signing of m0NESY brought renewed momentum, leading Falcons to consecutive grand final appearances.

However, in an effort to inject fresh talent into the squad, Falcons made the decision to bench Magisk and introduce Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin from Spirit Academy, a rifler widely regarded as the next rising star in Counter-Strike.

Astralis Welcomes a Legend Back

Astralis has confirmed Magisk’s return to its ranks, replacing Martin "stavn" Lund, who has stepped away for personal reasons. This reunion marks Magisk’s first time back with Astralis since his departure in late 2021, resurrecting a partnership that yielded three Major trophies and established an era of dominance in Counter-Strike history. His veteran experience could inject some much-needed firepower into a roster that has recently endured a spell of disappointing results.

Recently, Astralis have been under financial uncertainties and missed out on multiple Major qualifications despite heavy investments in the roster. The organization saw a small upturn following the addition of IGL Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, who led them to runner-up finishes at PGL Astana and FISSURE Playground #1. Nevertheless, Astralis’s form has wavered lately, with early exits from IEM Cologne and Esports World Cup raising concerns.

Magisk’s homecoming is more than just a player move; it symbolizes Astralis's hope to restore its former glory at a critical juncture. Fans and analysts alike eagerly await how the famed rifler’s experience and winning mentality will shape Astralis’ future.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
