In a climactic battle at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera, w7m esports emerged victorious in the Six Invitational 2024, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory against FaZe Clan.

This triumph marked the end of an era for w7m, as it was their final match under the team's banner.

A Legacy Cemented

w7m esports revolutionized the tactical landscape of Rainbow Six Siege upon entering the competitive scene.

Their aggressive playstyle, characterized by early map control and daring defensive maneuvers, stood in stark contrast to the more passive strategies employed by other teams.

With this win, w7m esports etched their name in Rainbow Six Siege history as only the second Brazilian team to claim the prestigious Six Invitational title.

What's more, they solidified their dominance by clinching victories in the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen and BLAST R6 Major Atlanta, making them the only roster to conquer every international competition in BLAST's circuit within a single calendar year.

The Finals

FaZe Clan started the Grand Finals off with a bang. On their pick of Oregon, FaZe absolutely decimated w7m with a 7-1 victory.

W7m answered back on their map of choice, Bank. Although it was not as dominant, a win is a win, as w7m closed it out at 7-5.

FaZe returned the favor on Skyscraper, where they managed to pull through with a 7-5 win. This put them one map away from glory.

But w7m would not stay silent. They showed off their signature defensive style, which allowed them to win the map 7-4.

It all came down to Nighthaven Labs. FaZe Clan managed to get a chokehold on the map. Ending the first half 5-1, and winning the first round on their attack, FaZe were one round away from lifting the hammer.

But w7m staged a comeback of epic proportions. Managing to win 5 rounds back-to-back, they pushed the map into Overtime. But this streak didn’t end here.

FaZe was completely shook, as w7m won the following two rounds as well, making it a total of seven consecutive rounds, to close out the map 8-6.

Rewards and Accolades:

Thus, w7m, for the first and last time under the Bulls banner, lifted the coveted Six Invitational Hammer, as they are the Champions of SI 2024, and the undisputed champions of the entire year.

Both Gustavo "HerdsZ" Herdina and Diego "Kheyze" Zanello of w7m broke the Kill Record, previously held by Benjamin "Benjamaster" Dereli of G2. Both players had a kill tally of 336 each.

A Bittersweet Farewell

This monumental win was tinged with bittersweet emotions. As it marked the end of w7m esports' journey with the championship-winning roster.

Unfortunately, the team and the Bulls couldn't reach an agreement to continue their partnership into the next season, signaling the end of an era for both parties.

As we bid farewell to another jaw-dropping year of Rainbow Six Siege, one can't help but wonder: what's next for w7m esports, and who will rise to claim the throne in their absence?
