The BLAST Open Spring 2025 Grand Finals in Lisbon promised a battle between two of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams—Team Vitality and MOUZ. With the MEO Arena packed with thousands of roaring fans, anticipation was high for a thrilling contest. However, what unfolded on Inferno left everyone in shock.

Vitality’s Unprecedented 13-0 Victory

Team Vitality delivered a performance never before seen in Counter-Strike 2 history—a flawless 13-0 thrashing in a Grand Final. Despite MOUZ being considered the second-best team in the world, they were completely outclassed, struggling to find any footing against the relentless French powerhouse.

Inferno has long been a stronghold for Vitality, and this dominant display marked their 10th consecutive win on the map, further cementing their reputation as the best team on it. They left MOUZ with no answers and no rounds to show for it.

ZywOo and flameZ Lead the Charge

Superstar Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut once again proved why he is in contention for the best player of the year. The superstar rifler racked up 13 kills with only 2 deaths, showcasing his versatility without even needing his signature AWP.

Alongside him, Shahar "flameZ" Shushan continued his rise as arguably the best entry fragger in the game, finishing as the top fragger with 14 kills. Together, they set the tone for what could be one of the most dominant performances in a CS2 final.

Since the addition of Robin "ropz" Kool, Vitality has been nearly unstoppable. Their chemistry and coordination have already resulted in two trophies—IEM Katowice and EPL Season 21. Now, they have their sights set on their third championship of 2025, and the year isn’t even halfway through.

Despite the crushing defeat, the Grand Final is a Best of 5, meaning MOUZ have an opportunity to strike back. They will look to reset and fight back on Mirage, but after Vitality’s historic statement, the pressure is at an all-time high.
