Finals weekend at VALORANT Masters London kicked off with heartbreak for EMEA fans, as Team Vitality were sent home by Leviatán in a swift 2-0 series. The Americas squad now advances to the Top 3, setting up a lower bracket final against EDward Gaming.

Quick 2-0 to End Their Run

On Vitality's own map pick of Lotus, things unraveled fast. The EMEA side grabbed an early pistol-round lead, but Leviatán's relentless attack side play flipped the script, building a commanding 8-4 advantage at the half.

What followed was one of the ugliest second halves imaginable for Vitality. Leviatán put up a near-flawless defense to close out the map 13-4, leaving the European squad visibly rattled heading into Map 2.

If Map 1 was bad, Map 2 was worse. Leviatán opened with an eight-round win streak right out of the gate, and the "EMEA Super Team" had no response.

Despite 2-time Masters winner Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov being the lone bright spot for Vitality, the team could only claim a single round in the second half. Leviatán closed out the map 13-4 again, sealing the series 2-0 in clinical fashion.

A Historic Run for Leviatán

For Leviatán, this result is nothing short of remarkable. As a rookie squad with IGL Francisco "kiNgg" Aravena being the only player with notable international experience, reaching the Top 3 at a Masters event is a phenomenal achievement.

Silver Lining for Vitality

While the exit stings, context matters. Vitality failed to qualify for the first Masters of the year entirely, making a Top 4 finish here a significant step forward. It also mirrors their best-ever international result—a 4th-place finish at Masters Bangkok—where they fell to eventual champions T1.

They leave London with $75,000 in prize money and, crucially, 4 VCT points toward Champions 2026 qualification. Next up for Vitality: the Esports World Cup, followed by VCT Stage 2.
