Vitality Crushes NAVI in BLAST Open Rotterdam to Win Third Consecutive Trophy

Team Vitality defeated Natus Vincere in dominant fashion to win BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026. The world #1 CS2 roster has been on a roll since the start of the season, reminding Counter-Strike fans worldwide that the 2025 Major winners are here to dominate this year as well. Vitality’s victory in Rotterdam cements their spot in the Valve Regional Standings and earns the team $150,000 in prize money.

With their third title of the year, Vitality look to replicate their 2025 success, when they won seven trophies in a row, along with two Majors. And with the Cologne Major just two months away, we’ll soon see this roster challenge Astralis’s historic record of four total Majors and three consecutive ones.

Vitality Dominates NAVI 3-0 to Win BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026

Vitality entered the final as heavy favorites, but the match began on relatively equal footing. NAVI enjoyed a strong start on the first map, Inferno, securing a 5-7 CT half. The tide quickly turned, however, as Vitality dominated on their own CT side, giving NAVI little room to operate. Team Vitality closed out the map 13-7, with ropz putting on a show for the audience. The Estonian lurker posted outstanding numbers, 27-13 KD and a 2.07 rating, propelling Vitality to victory.

Vitality carried their momentum into the next map, Anubis, where they built an 8-4 lead on the T-side in the first half. However, Anubis favors the T-side more than most maps, giving NAVI hope of a comeback in the second half. While NAVI managed to win six rounds, Vitality needed only five to close out the map, handing NAVI another unfavorable result. Similar to the first map, ropz emerged as the star of the show, alongside mezii.

The third map sealed the deal for Team Vitality. The showdown on Dust 2 was an entertaining one, as despite taking a 9-3 halftime lead and even extending the score to 12-4, Vitality struggled to close out the map. NAVI managed to put pressure on the eventual winners after securing six rounds in a row. However, with no rounds to spare, NAVI needed to maintain that streak for two more rounds to force overtime, something they failed to do.

While the 3-0 defeat may seem crushing, Natus Vincere had a promising performance in the best-of-five matchup, coming close to victory in two of the maps. They also enjoyed a terrific tournament run, defeating Falcons, Aurora, PARIVISION, and B8, ending their win streak at eight matches. Despite the Grand Final upset, NAVI still finds itself at #2 on the global VRS list, thanks to its success so far this season and its triumph at ESL Pro League Season 23.

Vitality Extends Win Streak to 16

Since their loss to Team Falcons in the BLAST Bounty Winter Semifinals in January, Vitality has won 16 consecutive matches across three tournaments. The three-time Major champions have been nearly flawless in 2026, defeating nearly every top team and rarely dropping a map. In fact, in their last 16 matches, Vitality has claimed 35 maps while losing only three, against FURIA at IEM Krakow, and to The MongolZ and G2 at PGL Cluj-Napoca. 

This streak also marks Vitality’s 20th consecutive map victory, surpassing NAVI’s 19-map streak from 2021. Their current run is second only to Ninjas in Pyjamas, whose 34-map streak from 2012–2013 remains the longest in Counter-Strike history.

Thanks to their stellar form, Vitality remains atop the Valve Regional Standings, well ahead of the second-ranked team. Fans can look forward to seeing more of the squad in April, when they compete at IEM Rio 2026.
