Only 3 teams remain in contention in VCT Masters Bangkok. The inaugural international event for the 2025 VALORANT calendar continues to deliver with new challengers and heart-pounding storylines. Both EDward Gaming and T1 have one chance left, in this Lower Finals tomorrow, to prove themselves worthy of challenging G2 for the crown.

The tension is riveting. Both teams have shown immense form to make it this deep. However, only one can advance.

G2 Awaits the Victor

After a successful rematch against EDward Gaming, G2 Esports are a series away from making history as the first Ascended team to lift an international trophy, just a few weeks after making history as the first Ascended team to lift a domestic trophy – having won VCT Americas Kickoff back in early February. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

First, we’ll have to witness their opposition.

A Three-Way Race to Make History

EDward Gaming are fresh off their VCT China Kickoff victory. Before that, they lifted the VALORANT Champions Cup last year. The members of this illustrious roster have a chance to make true history and join the elites as one of the blessed few to lift both a Masters and Champions title; with the same roster no less, a feat never before done. Despite a strong showing so far in Bangkok, it is an undeniable fact that we only remember the winners. They must make the finals.

On the other side, T1 have found themselves on an unstoppable rampage. From reaching the Grand Finals of VCT Pacific Kickoff to a guaranteed 3rd place in Bangkok, T1 are giving no quarter in their bid as the next emerging superpower from Pacific. For the illustrious organization who has won precious little in VALORANT, glory is but a step away (well, more like 2 steps away).

T1 vs EDG: VCT Masters Bangkok Lower Finals Prediction

We see EDG faltering here, in all honesty. Despite counting out T1 in their last series, their resilience and skill is undeniable. Meanwhile, EDG’s usual star, ZmjjKK, is currently a shadow of his former self. With flashes of brilliance only to remind, it is the unlikely support element of CHICHOO that has actually emerged as EDG’s breakout performer at this event.

Should this trend continue, I would actually rate T1 as the favourites in tomorrow’s series. Both Sylvan and iZu have undoubtedly been breakout successes for this young roster, but it is actually the veteran trio of BuZz, stax, and Meteor that has been stabilising this roster in some of their shakier rounds. It would not be an exaggeration to say this roster is peaking at the right time and there is a very likely world in which this roster makes it all the way.

Where to Watch VCT Masters Bangkok?

VCT Masters Bangkok can be viewed on both YouTube and Twitch, where they are livestreamed. The Lower Finals between T1 vs EDward Gaming will commence at 11:00 am CET / 5:00 am PST on the 1st of March.
