Riot Games has confirmed that the VCT Americas 2026 Stage 2 Finals weekend will be held in Sao Paulo, marking the first time Brazil has hosted the biannual regional event for VALORANT. From September 4-6, the top four teams in the Americas will battle at the Suhai Music Hall in Sao Paulo to secure the final two spots for VALORANT Champions Shanghai.

Sao Paulo Set to Host VCT Americas 2026 Stage 2 Finals

Stage 2 of VCT Americas 2026 is scheduled to begin with its Group Stage on July 16. However, only the Finals weekend (September 4-6) will take place in Sao Paulo. The live audience will have access to four matches held over the three days:

  • Upper Bracket Final

  • Lower Bracket Semifinal

  • Lower Bracket Final

  • Grand Final

The remaining matches, including the Group Stage and the rest of the playoffs, will be held at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, as usual.

This is not the first VCT event of this scale to take place in Sao Paulo. The city previously hosted the inaugural LOCK//IN tournament in 2023, as well as the VCT Game Changers Championship that same year.

Considering the passion Brazil and South America have shown for VALORANT, along with the country's proven experience in hosting tier-1 events, the VCT Americas Stage 2 Finals promises to be an exciting occasion, especially for local fans.

More details regarding the tournament, including ticketing information and the match schedule, will be made available at a later date.

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
