VCT Americas Power Rankings: Who Will Win Stage 2?
The VCT Americas 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs are finally set, with eight teams still fighting for the region's four VALORANT Champions 2026 spots.
Some teams enter with the momentum and preparation gained from the Play-In, while others have earned a more favorable route through the Group Stage, giving them valuable time to prepare surprises and new strategies.
Here, we rank every VCT Americas playoffs team based on their current form, regular-season performance, and overall potential to win the whole thing.
VCT Americas 2026 Stage 2 Power Rankings
1. Leviatán
Leviatán is undeniably one of the favorites for the VCT Americas trophy. The reigning Masters London champions finished the Group Stage with just one loss to NRG, the second-strongest contender in the race for the title. The organization enters the Playoffs with significant international momentum that cannot be overlooked.
They are also benefiting from a meta and map pool that suits their strengths, especially following Breeze's exit. Leviatán have already proven they can compete with the best teams in the world, and now they will look to add another domestic title to their résumé, one they have not won since 2024.
2. NRG
NRG are among the favorites to claim the title, having finished the Group Stage with an impeccable record and no losses. The undefeated squad enters the Playoffs with plenty of momentum and a map pool that has only grown stronger with the return of Abyss, one of their comfort picks.
However, NRG have yet to translate their recent international success into domestic silverware, failing to secure a single regional title since the organization's foundation. With Leviatán also positioned in the Upper Bracket, the two teams could be on a collision course for an Upper Final showdown.
3. 100 Thieves
Among the top seeds, 100 Thieves might be easy to overlook, but a strong record and recent international triumph at the Esports World Cup make them a legitimate contender. As the winners of their group, they will skip the opening round and enter the Playoffs in an excellent position.
If they can maintain their slow, methodical approach and execute rounds with the same consistency, 100 Thieves have a real chance of making a deep run. However, they are likely to face Leviatán in their opening match, putting them up against one of the strongest contenders.
4. MIBR
Despite having a shaky Group Stage, MIBR remains a difficult opponent for any team and can be a contender for the title. Their biggest challenge, however, lies in their Playoffs draw, as they are set to face Leviatán in the opening round, making their path through the Upper Bracket considerably more difficult.
5. G2 Esports
G2 Esports could be higher given their previous track record for domestic dominance, but their current form does not inspire the same confidence. Starting their Playoffs run in the Lower Bracket, they have no room for error and cannot afford to lose a single match if they want to keep their title hopes alive.
6. FURIA
A disastrous Group Stage without a single victory was followed by a Play-Ins run that showed signs of renewed confidence for FURIA. Internal issues put the team through a difficult period, but they now appear to have found some momentum at the right time.
7. LOUD
Despite qualifying through the Upper Bracket, LOUD are not among the favorites to make a deep title run. However, their renewed confidence could make them a dangerous opponent capable of pulling off a few upsets along the way.
8. Evil Geniuses
For Evil Geniuses, surviving the Play-Ins was already a major challenge, and their inconsistency could prove costly, especially in a Lower Bracket run where every match is an elimination game. With their first opponent set to be the loser of the MIBR-Leviatán matchup, their path to advancing looks particularly difficult.
The Verdict: Who Will Win the VCT Americas Stage 2 Playoffs?
The top of the Americas field looks clear as we head into the Playoffs. Behind the three leading contenders (Leviatán, NRG, and 100 Thieves), the picture becomes considerably murkier.
MIBR and G2 Esports have the strongest cases for breaking into that top tier, while the remaining teams will need to show significant improvement from the previous stage if they hope to change the odds.
That is what makes this year's Stage 2 Playoffs so difficult to predict. While every team has a path to the title, only the two strongest contenders will meet in the Grand Final.
The decisive showdown is scheduled for September 6 in São Paulo, Brazil.
