VALORANT Introduces New Agent Mastery System with Patch 13.06

The imminent VALORANT Patch 13.06 seeks to reward the dedicated and the specialists. Amongst all the exciting announcements of a new game mode and weapon, the agent system will see a crucial revamp that includes new mastery levels visualized through in-game rewards.

Showcase Your Agent Mastery

“Agent Mastery is a new progression system that recognizes the time and effort players put into their favorite Agents. By simply playing an agent, players earn Act and Lifetime levels that unlock Agent-specific rewards, and get new ways to show off their dedication in and around the game.”

The new Agent Mastery system will introduce 4 distinct features:

• Act Levels
• Lifetime Levels
• Mastery Points (MP)
• Agent IDs

Act Levels

Serving as the first layer, this is a seasonal progression track that resets at the end of each Act. Progressing along it unlocks temporary Portrait upgrades, showcasing each player’s ‘current investment’ in an agent as well as their proficiency with said agent in Agent Select.

Lifetime Levels

This is where the true flex will lie for the faithful. Packaged as a persistent progression track, Lifetime Levels will reflect the player’s total investment into an agent. Progression will then unlock Agent-specific rewards for the player, such as sprays, voice lines, Mastery Player Cards, and Mastery Poses.

Mastery Points (MP)

The new progression track for both tracks will be powered by a new in-game currency: Mastery Points, earned based on time spent in matches (with said agent), with bonuses awarded for performance and match outcomes.

Agent IDs

Unlocking rewards is one thing. Organizing and maintaining it all is another. That is where Agent IDs come into the picture. A new customizable hub where players can equip earned modules (stances, backgrounds, tracked stats) and personalize the summary of their agent and appearance around the game.

Once Agent Mastery goes live, Strafe Esports will release a full breakdown of every unlockable reward in the new system. 

When Does the New Agent Mastery System Arrive?

The new agent mastery system arrives on September 22, with Patch 13.06. All existing and earned agent gear has been assured to remain through the revamp. Instead, new rewards will be introduced for every Agent at launch.  

Enjoy earning rewards along the lifetime track, showcasing your accumulated mastery of your favoured agents. Highlight your comfort in-game with seasonal upgraded portraits that leave no question as to your competency within the match.
